BoringLimited menu and not great food. Had a « Cornish pasty » which came with very greasy filo pastry and dry mince. No carrots or onions.Milk shake is just that. A glass of milk, a squirt of sweet vanilla syrup, shaken. Nearly £5.Not quick, no smile and confused service (there were about 2 tables waiting for orders but that was enough for the waitress to be lost)

Came to village to visit an antique store. Very pretty village and found this awesome tea room on the Green. Had cream teas with scones fresh from the oven! Very nice wait staff and tea was delivered very fast. They offer a variety of breakfast and lunch items as well as tea with a vast selection of cakes to pick from. Will definitely be back with friends. Get place to enjoy a nice summer afternoon. They have outside as well as inside seating.

Quality of the food was good, however, breakfast was served on cold plates, we couldn’t add to the breakfast ( pay for), ie a tomato, the portion size for each individual item although small was acceptable, apart for the 30 baked beans, a dessert spoon at best. Value for money no but tasty. In my defence, I’m not complaining about quality of food, we looked at the website and the menu clearly says we can purchase extra items.

I pass through the village every weekend and usually pop into this place. Been 7-8 times, but have now stopped going.Breakfast/food is very good, but service is weak here. Usually a surly member of staff and in general just not a welcoming place. Owners scared to pay the heating bill to, always cold in there.I will say though, that the cakes here are lovely. Usually get a few slices to takeaway. Always great.

Disappointed. Visited at around 2:30pm one Friday. Appreciate that this was late in the day but doesn’t excuse the lack of interest in customers. We walked in & the girl behind the counter didn’t look up or acknowledge us. We sat at a table right in front of the counter & she continued wiping Menus. My husband got up to look at the specials board & then went to use the toilet. By this time we had been in there for 5 mins & I asked if we could have a menu. The girl just replied ‘We’ve stopped serving food’. She then disappeared & returned with food for a chap already sat at a table. I appreciate that it was late but if the girl had just communicated straight away we wouldn’t have sat down. We will not be going back.

Went in for coffee and cake on a Saturday. Staff are young and whilst the spoke to us politely a few people came in but didn't stay as they were not spoken to by the staff. Only 2 staff visible, presumably more in the kitchen but not enough when busy, they appeared to be working hard. On the positive side coffee and walnut cake was moist and plenty of walnuts in the cake, brownie was also good, I asked for warm with clotted cream, a good sized portion. Good food but probably one member of staff short of being able to be good.

Staff had thrown the doors open to ensure good ventilation. They apogised to each customer but what wonderful customer care. They had to be there all day. And the breakfast and tea were great as well. Thank you very much.

Me and a friend came in with our babies and despite our prams being in the way and the chaos that comes with all that, the owner was so kind and even came to our table to take our order to help us out. She was so lovely and the food was great. We had the tuna panini and club sandwich and chips. We will be back!

The food was tasty enough but the portion of soup was tiny, one ladle in a bowl about five times too big for it. We usually don't complain but it was so little we asked for them to add some more, took about 10 minutes and when they returned it was the same amount. I expect a country tea room to be generous with their portions. I got the club sandwich which was mostly fine, the bacon was a bit fatty. It didn't come with any sides like a bit of salad or crisps which for the price I assumed it would. Overall a disappointing experience, if you're in the village try somewhere else.
