Our room was good and the bed was comfortable. A bit of a climb over the edge of the (deep) bath to get into the shower; not easy for the less than nimble. Our main problem was with the restaurant. I had booked a table for five people - online the menu looked OK and we thought we might all be able to find something we might like, although we all like simply prepared, fresh food. It was absolutely atrocious. Once we had negotiated the "chef-speak" menu (AKA, adjectively up its own backside) I think we all had 'fish' starters; the fish was very stale, bordering on inedible. Portions were pitifully small, and I mean pitiful. Two halves of a scallop, three mussels each about the size of a baby's fingernail and one prawn. For main courses, three or four of us had John Dory with beetroot risotto - there were two or three exceptionally small, tepid (and stale) pieces of fish on each plate - overcooked and well past their sell-by date. They tasted like stale fish. The beetroot risotto was lukewarm and unexceptional. We were hoping to enjoy something of a family reunion before my mother's memorial service the next day, but the whole experience was hugely disappointing. Furthermore, the hotel charged an additional £670 to my father's credit card with no explanation as to what this was for. He's 86, for goodness' sake. He rang and spoke to somebody who said they would get "the manager" to ring him back, but this has not happened. All in all a dreadful experience and one we never want to have again.

Quaint and enjoyable property located in the Surrey countryside. Comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, and attentive service make for an amazing stay. The front desk was extremely helpful with our requests for room service, dry cleaning, and taxis to the train station. Would highly recommend!

For the price point of this hotel, I expected a higher quality of comfort and service. Checkin was brief and cordial. Rooms are dated and feel stuffy. Restaurant is very pricy for basic (but very well plated) food. The grounds are lovely and the outside patio is perfect for an afternoon beverage. Staff are every friendly but seem overwhelmed by the tasks as service was slow everywhere.

Okay, went to the hotel for a birthday party; I knew it was a 'Handpicked Hotel' so it was going to be good, just a question of how good? The answer to that was, very good indeed! Nutfield Priory is a stunning hotel dripping with period features, the food was wonderful as was the wine but above all else the staff were absolutely outstanding. All of them tuned in and focused on making sure everybody had a wonderful day; never intrusive but always appearing with a smile to recharge ones glass. An absolute top draw experience and we look forward to our next visit.

Stayed 3 nights. Location and hotel is very nice with friendly staff. Bar area and restaurant are rather small but still relaxing. Service is very slow though, so be prepared for a long wait for drinks and dinner.

Beautiful place. We had a suite which was amazing. Superking bed, wonderful nights sleep and double height windows and ceiling. Afternoon tea was great and so was the fine dinning. Service very quick and very tasty food, if a little small for some. Spa was good, didn't feel quite the same in terms of luxury.

We held my sisters wedding here.As guests staying at the hotel we used the spa facilities which were adequate though the heated small pool jets were not working. The rooms were lovely and so were the grounds. The wedding food was nice (I had the veg meal but I was told the non veg & vegan option were also good), everything from drinks, canapés, 3 course meal and evening buffet.

The staff were beyond brilliant. The dining staff were so enthusiastic and appeared to really enjoy working at the hotel. They were so keen to help and anticipated our needs perfectly. The reception staff were also friendly and efficient. The hotel itself is beautiful.Thank you for a great stay

We went to a murder mystery weekend in April 2O22.to this hotel.... Sorry to say was disappointed with hotel food and service. While the actors were excellent, the hotel let it down. Food just was not nice... With tiny portions... Did not finish any of the courses..left hungry.... Bread rolls were good!.... Wrote to the manager who was good enough to reply and offer us a free afternoon tea...... No formal gardens to sit In...just car parks.... Not happy.

Will be coming back! Had the most fantastic set menu ever on Valentines 2022! The service was AMAZING! And each and one of the dishes were super delicious! We loved the restaurants interior and will definitely be back for more - afternoon tea / dinner!
