Popped in for an impromptu coffee. The first thing that strikes you is the tasteful decor. Understated and not cluttered. A beautiful indoor space and the courtyard is serene. Service was superb. Coffee was exceptional and served in gorgeous cups. We’ll be back soon and thoroughly recommend visiting. Well worth the trip if you’re passing through, live local or come from further afield.

Good food and fresh drink and a very calm place make me want to comeback again.

Lovely gift ideas. Coffee in the courtyard was just what I needed! Definitely a good stop when in the area.

Such a cosy place for a hot drink and some delicious bites. You can also order sandwiches for a lunch/brunch. I loved browsing the unique pieces that are also up for purchasing ( got myself a good bargain on a set of clay plant pots).

We've been coming here since we moved to the area 4 years ago. The service is always great and particularly now during Covid times they have adapted their service to keep customers safe.The food is amazing and the atmosphere is brilliant. Regularly ate lunch here prior to lockdown. Lovely, humble homemade food and service. Homemade bread is a particular stand out. I never normally order soup but I often do so I can have the bread.

We were a prebooked table of eight people on the last Saturday before Christmas, meeting for a family catch-up with some of us being from as far away as Cornwall. When we arrived we were told with profuse apologies that they were two members of staff down and that there would be an hour wait. This was absolutely fine as they prewarned us and it gave us all a chance to catch up. The food arrived within the time they said it would and it was well worth the wait. All of our dishes were absolutely delicious and very generously proportioned. The service was excellent and despite being exceedingly busy, all the staff were super friendly.I would highly recommend The Oldpost.Thank you to the staff who were there on Saturday and I wish you all a very merry Christmas.

Very pleasant hour spent here. The sandwich was fresh and ample the coffee excellent. The decor quaint and the garden area with fountains is very pleasing. The staff are lovely and friendly. I'll be back with my wife asap!Lots of parking behind.
