Absolutely awful. I don't know what happened to this place, possibly another hospitality casualty following Covid, but I used to love eating here on the terrace.Went on the 17th June for my birthday - mother in law booked the table, specifically told me we'd be sitting outside according to the confirmation email.Arrived to see the terrace shut and told that the upstairs terrace was purely for drinks, no food. We were not the only people this had happened to - we heard other tables complain about this. Not overly disappointed as it was in a terrible state, filthy and covered in bird droppings.Food was underwhelming. My starter of courgette flower was basically a flower stuffed with ricotta and spinach and warmed up. Should have been tempura battered and deep fried. Was not good or edible.Desert was also a let down - £7.50 for a 'cake' the size of a ping pong ball, that was actually a chocolate truffle. Never felt more ripped off. But, by far the worst thing of all, was the horribly rude man who was serving us. I've never been served by some one who so brazenly didnt want to be working there. Really put a downer on the whole evening.I'd reccomend going somewhere in Westerham village and safe yourself the ghastly experience of their hideous waiter. So not worth the price tag.

We really enjoyed our evening here. The atmosphere was lovely for a special occasion, the staff were very friendly and professional and the food was excellent. And the wine of course!

My 1st visit with 4 other sprightly OAP's was all that we could have hoped for. A long lazy delicious lunch with fine wines, excellent and discreet service in comfortable surroundings. We loved the ambiance and the whole experience encouraged us to go again soon.

Went out for a nice evening meal with my wife. The surroundings are pleasant, tables not too close so you don't feel cramped in.Wine was pretty expensive, but nothing out of the ordinary for a top restaurant so not unexpected. The service was amateurish; basically sixth formers who knew next to nothing about the items on the menu and couldn't really advise much; but they were trying hard and were all very friendly. I think some descent training would not go amiss. My wife ordered the cheese platter for dessert but asked for no goats cheese as she was intolerant to it. The waitress noted this down but when it came there was the goat's cheese slap bang in the middle. When we queried the waitress what we suspected was goats cheese she couldn't identify it so went to get someone who could. The food was a bit of a disappointment for a 'good' restaurant. The pheasant I had was dry and the treacle tart's base was hard (possibly reheated in the microwave/oven). The crab bisque was however delicious.Summary : I was hoping for fine dining but it fell short. It did have potential however and requires development in attention to detail, so I'll monitor reviews and try again in a few months, until then I'll stick with the Old Bank in Westerham.

Great & friendly service. This was our first time visiting and we all enjoyed our meals. My slow-cooked beef cheeks were excellent, melt in the mouth. Feedback on the seabass and mussels was also excellent. Will definitely return in the summer

Had our first visit to The Bottle Store and it was just lovely.Very warm and welcoming staff. The wait staff were also very attentive. The restaurant wasn’t to busy but it felt nice and relaxed. The food was excellent. The advise and information on the wine was great.Already booked our next visit.

Lovely, spontaneous lunch at the Bottle Store, never been to the area, but my friend and I was just out for a drive nearby and saw a sign for a Winery and Brewery. Wasn't sure where to go at first but we spoke to someone in the farm shop who mentioned about the winery restaurant and where to go. The staff were really friendly and even though they looked busy still squeezed us in. Very informative on menus and we both had a delicious Sirloin roast as a "Sunday special" and the homemade Yorkshire did not disappoint!! Just a shame I didn't have room for a pudding as they all sounded to die for, will have to come back soon and make sure I leave room for a dessert.

Four of us went to The Bottle Store for my wife's birthday. The food was excellent, the staff were attentive and good fun and we enjoyed some really nice wines. It's got a very nice ambiance as well. I'd recommend the Circumstance Cabernet Sauvignon.

Unfortunately the service is very poor and the food is average. Everything was erratic - we were given the wrong menus to start with (yesterday's apparently as today's weren't quite ready yet) and then one of our mains (the pork belly) didn't arrive with any vegetables, when we had been told by our waitress that it would come with it's own sides and we didn't need to order any. We pointed this out but nothing was done to fix it and we weren't offered the opportunity to order anything more. This was a really simple mistake and could have been fixed easily. Our waitress was very nice but poorly trained. We decided not to have puddings or coffee after as we hadn't enjoyed our mains. We complained about the same thing when asking for our bill but again nothing was done. Our bill came to £155 for a two course lunch for 2 people - very overpriced for what we received. The two stars we have given are for the wines which are excellent.

Disapppointing. We booked for indoor restaurant, which was supposed to open on 22nd September, but found they had sat everyone outside on the terrace so we were not dressed appropriately for the weather. Very long wait for service. Food was okay when it came but not very hot. Only toilet facilities were upstairs in closed restaurant. Had been here before and expected better from this establishment.
