We arrived very muddy, half way through an early spring country walk. We were made very welcome straight away and given a table with plenty of space for the 3 of us. The pub is very spacious and clean throughout. My recommendation is the venison casserole if available. My only further request would be some greens with that casserole. Absolutely delicious it was.

We booked for a birthday lunch for 92 year old family member based on previous good meals eaten here. We waited 40 minutes between the starter and the main course and I suppose that the cook probably hoped that our meals were overcooked and we wouldn't notice. The manager reduced the bill but that was no compensation for the disappointment.

Dog 🐾 Friendly Pub, offering water 💦 and free biscuits, only requirement is to stay on the wooden floor area . Friendly pleasant staff.. Didn't eat on this visit, but what I saw looked Great and perfectly presented. A special thanks to Natalia for helping me regarding a 'lost' bank card 💳.... I'll certainly recommend to anyone visiting the area..

Initial impressions of this pub are good, with a spacious outdoor area (including childrens playground), seating options in huts and under cover, and loads of good tables inside. But a shame, it is very average for food and drink. What makes it difficult to recommend is that menu prices are high. Burgers range from £14 - £17.50, I had the pig and cheese burger. It wasn't memorable. The homemade coleslaw bland. Sauces come in tiny sachets on request (why not bottles?). I wouldn't order it again. Perhaps I should have tried the fish and chips... Positives are this has the makings of a great family pub, it certainly looks the part with great seating options, and the young staff were friendly.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was low and often didnt provide cultery when we needed. Food arrived at different times but the food was good quality. Would reccommend coming for a sunday lunch etc

Lovely food couldn't fault it! The staff were incredible and couldn't do enough for us especially with the two children we had with us. The play area is amazing with one for smaller kids and a big kid area. I felt it was a tad expensive hence the 4* review but had a really great time.

Had a brilliant group meal here this evening. All food was excellent, service from Elliott was perfect - exactly the right level of attention, speed and friendliness. The cookies didn't arrive simultaneously with the coffees but this was the only slight disappointment. The children's meals were enjoyed and the choice was above average which was nice to see. Lovely pub restaurant, good play area for the children too. Would definitely recommend and return if in the area.

Really friendly staff. Great service. Drinks served nice and cold. Excellent presentation of food. Sat in secluded booth nice and private. Decor delightful, nice atmospherere. Meals looked exquisite but thought taste could be improved slightly. Other than that - Gorgeous.

First Visit here and will NOT be Returning!Never been so disappointed in a Meal and Service.Had Grandchildren with me, we sat outside so they could enjoy the Play Area.No Staff about to tell you were sit, how or where to order.Girls had Children's Meal, chicken stripes, chips and beans. Chicken was over cooked, look like it had been deep fried, chips were tasteless and had no substance to them, they did not eat much. Loaded Potato Skins, were sparingly sprinkled with Cheese and onion and were warm. The most disappointing thing was the Milk Shakes at £4.25 we were expecting something good. Ordered 3, 2 sat on the bar getting warm for 10mins, the 3rd was Raspberry NOT Strawberry, NOT sure where the ice cream came into it, as was thin with bits of cookie floating in it. Expensive and NOT At all Appetising.I spoke to our waiter, who did nothing and made a verbal complaint to a female member of Management, who barely listened to me and did NOTHING. As you pay upfront they have your money so don't seem to be bothered about making recompense.Being short staffed is No excuse! One star given as it had the Children's Play Area

Was looking forward to a nice meal out with family. Staff friendly but waiting ages for food to come and for plates to be cleared. Food was terrible quality for the prices charged. Burnt, tasteless and evidently sat under hot lights. Some food was even missing from plates. Table behind us walked out when their food came as they were very unimpressed. Won't be returning!
