The Dene Restaurant in Tandridge

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The venue is kept very clean and airy. You can eat inside or out in the garden. Vegan offerings are poor but otherwise a pretty decent menu. I’d recommend it for an easy chilling gathering.

Beautiful surrounding and very fresh food. I loved all the salad I got next to my jack potato.

We come here regularly but the service is getting worse, buys had their sandwiches turn up with out drinks, drinks took another 30 mins, it’s a real shame as this could be such a nice venue. Breakfast also going down hill as the quality is not great.Shame as it’s busy and that’s their excuse for poor service.

The 3 times we've been there for espresso they took more than 10m to bring them. Today, we asked for caramel soya late and I can say was the worst caramel soya late I've drunk. More than take 10m to bring the lates was the poor quality of the drink. The late doesn't have any caramel taste. I will never spend more money there.

I went there on Tuesday for coffee and cake but it was so cold we had to keep our coats on and not stay long and we noticed everyone had their coats on still and the girls serving us were shivering and we asked why it was so cold and the said the heating wasnt working properly so I complained by email when I got home and their reply was the windows are open due to covid. They were not!!

Great service. Great food. Gluten free vegetarian offered. Freshly baked selection of cakes, scones and pastries. Delicious sandwiches and sweets. Good selection. Beautiful table setting. Earl gray and English Breakfast tea offered and topped up on request. We sat by the window looking out over the Beautiful bright colourful gardens with pink, orange and red flowers blooming. The background noise of the running water of the pond water feature. Such a peaceful setting. Will definitely be returning to this wonderful place again.

Really lovely venue to enjoy a delicious avocado and prawn salad, followed by a cream tea, overlooking the gardens, then strolling through the grounds. Staff are attentive and they follow Covid guidelines to make sure everyone is safe.

When the weather is good this is the perfect place to be. The views are fantastic, it is a joy to sit outside. Inside is ok but I would prefer it to be prettier and more welcoming to match the outside. They change their menu frequently and provide vegan options. I haven't had a cake here but they do look good. Maybe stay clear of the veg soup as it is very salty.

A nice cafe with beautiful garden and friendly staff. The whole place felt comfortable and pleasant. Had the jacket potato with the coronation chicken which was a decent portion and quite tasty but nothing too special. Ideally there is also a garden center next to it with some beautiful flowers, plants and pots. It was a perfect location for us after our hike in the Surray hills just next door.

My sister took me there for lunch and lovely views. I absolutely loved it. There's also a beautiful garden centre next to the cafe.
