The Haycutter in Tandridge

Stumbled upon this pub during a walk. Managed to get a picnic table and fast service despite it being a sunny Bank Holiday. The food came out in less than 10 minutes and was delicious.

Best pub in Surrey. Food and service is first class. 4 of us went for a meal. we had the steak burger which was really tender and beefy in flavour, the crayfish burger which was lovely and the cod which was really fresh and lots of it. The puddings are perfection. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

This pub is a must to visit if you're visiting Hurst Green; wonderful staff, delicious food, good location, walking distance to the train station so no need to drive, and good local walks.We arrived to find that they weren't doing food for walk-ins (it was the first warm Saturday we'd had this year) so my daughter and I booked a table and went on a walk. I had been given a Mother's Day present by my daughter which the staff kindly allowed me to leave behind the bar as I didn't want to go on a dog walk carrying a large bag. We returned to be able to sit inside with my dog (a quiet, well behaved spaniel) and enjoy the food. Only problem was as it had been so busy some of the lighter bites were unavailable to order. The Vegan Moving Mountains burger was delicious (I'm vegetarian) and the NY style Deli Sandwich my daughter had was tasty according to her.I shall definitely return to the Haycutter due to the ease of getting there by train (it's a 12 min walk to the train station) and the walks that you can go on from the pub.

Impromptu visit on Mother's Day. Staff helpful. Lovely venue. Parking easy. We just had desserts & drinks but as we were eating outside the outdoor heaters & blankets were a great addition as the weather had turned chilly after 2 weeks of Spring sunshine. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Best sticky toffee pudding ever and even gluten free! Very happy customer! Great staff, great food and friendly atmosphere. We have been about 4 times and my partner has fish and chips every time as he says it is the best fish and chips he has ever had. I had the gf fish fingers and they were delicious too

Second time of meeting friends here. Great place, excellent meals and appropriate attention from very pleasant and professional staff - there when needed but we were not rushed. Love that dogs are allowed! Very popular place so best to book! Will be returning. Thank you.

Great experience,as so often with Brunning and Price pubs,the staff and food are excellent. I had prawn and pumpkin Laksa which was sensational.My partner had Vegan burger, very good.. Afterwards small dessert and coffee was a great idea that rounded off the meal. Staff super friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend The Haycutter.

Service was slow to begin with. There were a few tables with people seated but we didn't receive our drinks for the first half hour which is partly because one of my party wanted a vegan wine and staff weren't sure but partly due to the pub being busy. The food arrived hot and tasty but we weren't offered more drinks for a while and had to catch waiters eyes even though 5 walked past us. Delicious game pie and chocolate torte.

Spacious pub with room to sit for a drink or plenty of tables to eat at. On arriving, staff were masked and quickly showed us to our table. Offer of drinks while viewing the menu and service was punctual. Great lunchtime menu, bites or full meals. The fish and chips were awesome! Nice dessert selection if you have a sweet tooth. Waitress was superbly polite and efficient and we probably overstayed our welcome, but never felt like they were in a rush for us to leave. Plenty of parking too.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Delicious dinner! Good portions, excellent service and very tasty food. Enjoyed our evening and would return. Highly recommended.
