High expectations were met with disappointment. We ate in the Barn, which was lovely from a venue perspective and there were plenty of staff members around for Sunday lunch. This, unfortunately is where the flattery ends. Service was surprisingly slow and many of the waiters/ waitresses seemed like inexperienced weekend help. The meal itself (we both ordered the more expensive beef rib option) was also a let down. While the meat itself was acceptably cooked and plentiful, the supporting act was sub par. Roast potatoes had lost the texture of freshly cooked food and the gravy was thin and lacking depth. Pigs in blankets (an optional extra) were clearly good quality sausages but this resulted in unpleasant, read undercooked, texture of the skin beneath the bacon. For the price, I’ve enjoyed other Sunday lunches in the area much more. The 3 star review is possibly generously saved by the building itself.

The Red Barn is our favourite country pub!Often go for drinks by the open fireplace or slouch on the comfortable sofas. Most pubs these days aren’t cosy and filled with just restaurant seating. The Red Barn has space for everything; Restaurant, bar, cosy seating indoors, undercover outdoor area with heaters, big un-covered grass area with burger van - it’s quite impressive! The staff have always been very friendly and polite.I tried food for the first time, it was so flavoursome and good quality, however, the menu didn’t show any gluten free options so the waitress bought over a big folder for us to work out ourselves - found it quite strange as vegan/vegetarian options were labelled.Other than that, can’t fault it. Looking forward to visiting during the summer months out in the garden!

Surprisingly large selection of dishes that are fairly well executed. The kitchen was evidently under stress as we were repeatedly told how delayed everything was and how hard the kitchen we're being on the waiting staff. We had a nice meal that came pretty quickly. I think it was great that they set our expectations straight away like that.I think the food would be better executed if the menu wasn't so large. Focus on the simple things like the execution of a decent roast potato. It's not that hard! Yet very few Sunday roast places can do it. Potatoes aside the food was really nice if not a little overpriced. You also need more high chairs.

Recent had the Trio Roast and it was fantastic. The large barn is an incredible place to eat too. The staff are polite and very efficient. Would definitely recommend the roasts here.

My friends and I had a great NYE at The Red Barn. The set menu was fantastic, absolutely loved the food! The barn side is very cosy. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Beautiful cozy place with lots of food options, bar staff could be little more friendlier and also if there was a complete drinks menu not just cocktails that would be amazing. Rated 5 stars because it’s worth visiting again one more time.

Love the atmosphere here, such a nice pub with a great vibe, could sit here for hours and hours by the fireplace! The food is pretty good and they have a decent selection of drinks too. The staff is very polity and helpful, however when it comes to taking out plates etc when you are done eating, they are a bit slow… but I guess that’s part of the vibe. Only real minus is the food prices, as I don’t feel they are justified vs other options in the area, but overall a really good experience

The atmosphere 🌌 and the fact that this is a 300 year old converted barn was the highlight of this joint. Really well decorated inside ⚜️, awesome massive bookshelf wall 📚, fire place 🔥, comfy seating 💺, friendly staff 👌🏽 and an all round pleasant experience. It would have been a 5 star review but the beef roast we had was just a little short of being perfect 🍛. The meat was cooked really nicely and was soft and tender, but lacked much flavour. Good variety of vegetables too, although the roast potatoes 🥔 were the weakest on the plate. We also ordered their crayfish salad which was very very delicious! Would have liked it even more with a squirt of lemon 🍋 to bring out some of those flavours.Definitely coming back as there's more stuff on the menu I want to try, like their oysters. 😊🙌🏽

I had an easy experience at the Red Barn. Love the tent keeping us from rain or hot sunny days. The waitresses were helpful and took our order but also showed us the app and how easy that was to use. Even as we used the app staff kept checking we were OK. The food was hot and delicious.
