Lovely lunchtime meal was enjoyed by all. I haven't seen the kids eat so much at once! They gave The Star a "double thumbs up" for yummy food and for having a play area. My food was good too. Only fault seems to be the lack of baby changing area, unless I missed it? One of the regulars told me there wasn't any, probably should have asked the staff to be 100% though.

Very nice food went on a very busy day but no delay with food after ordering there were some items already sold out but we did get there later in the day all in all a good experience

The room was clean, large and comfortable. There was no noise issue from Gatwick or the pub.We had fish and chips and they were outstanding possibly the best I've had.If we travel from Gatwick again then this is the first place I'll check for accommodation we are that happy with the Star Inn.

VERY disappointed approach to locals that are in the pub weekly to be told.. “ finish your drinks or you won’t be served again” by Tony the manager! Very hostile environment.. this is a local village pub… celebrating the Queens Jubilee… what a shame!!! If it wasn’t my local I wouldn’t return!!

I took the family to The Star last week. Food was excellent, especially the salad. Very good value for money. Service was a little slow inside because it was busy outside I guess. Not a problem though. My son loved the climbing / play area outside. Highly recommended if you have kids.

We stayed here for work. Food 10/10, rooms 10/10, staff 10/10. I have no faults for this place other than the food being a little pricey, however, it's worth it. The chef clearly cares about what food he makes and how it's presented. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay!

Terrible dining experience. Arrived at opening time, 12 for lunch, the pub was not busy upon arrival our lunch took an hour and a half to be served cold! The waiters paid more attention to a young birthday party that arrived at 1. Waiters walked around aimlessly and also dropped my then cold food on the table once it finally arrived and didn’t apologise or clean up. The food was mediocre for the price certainly would not recommend waste of time and money.

I've been going to the star for years. And very disappointed after tonights visit. The place looks great but the food was awful. In fact its made me unwell. I ordered a sirloin steak as its tough to get wrong. But it tasted awfuk and something just didn't seem right about it. Joe the lad serving was great. Was also very odd listening to the people who run the place have a full blown argument with a customer at the bar area as well. Really dissapointing experience.

Been here for lunch today with my wife, first time eating here & will definitely be returning in the future. Food was delicious & the service friendly. A really nice place with a nice atmosphere.

Lovely food and no long wait despite it being busy. Relaxed atmosphere and the children loved the new improved play area. Great value with the "Eat out to help out". Going again next week.
