It is a lovely pub, really friendly staff. Unfortunately on the day i visited, they had a reduced menu as there was only one member of kitchen staff, but food came out quick and was great.

The location and building are still lovely, but the food here is a shadow of what it was. Only a handful of options on the menu, and really some of the lowest quality pub food I've had - e.g. a hot dog that tasted like it came from a jar on a cheap bun. It's very sad to see, but we won't be back any time soon!

Good beer, very good service, but the food has gone downhill since the last time we came. Premium cut of lamb, served with gravox instant gravy and what I think was instant mashed potatoes. What a shame. I expect better for nearly £20. Others in our group had very dry chicken in their burger. Not sure we will come back.

Beautiful 16th century old country pub. Beautiful atmosphere, wonderfully friendly and efficient staff.. Had a wonderful lunch with my friend Angela, thanks Angela by the way!! Highly recommended for any occasion. Lovely food and drink options.

This is a lovely pub in a beautiful location. On my last recent visit I had to return my meal as it was inedible. My replacement (different) meal was good but there was no gesture to apologise for the fact that I didn't get to eat the meal I wanted. The bar shut early and we were given our bill without us having requested it and made to feel rushed out quickly so the staff could go home. Poor customer service from the management (not from our waiter who was lovely). This is only the third time I have eaten here but each time has been somewhat disappointing.I won't be eating here again.

I was amazed how many rooms there are in this pub. It's a proper old building. Very nice veggie sausages and mash. Portions a bit on the large side for me, but hey you don't have to eat it all.

Beautiful old pub with great outdoor seating in summer and cozy log fires in winter. There are some good footpaths nearby for a walk. Great selection of local beer, including some non alcoholic ones. Dog friendly :)

Went in with a group for some drinks. Staff and service was very good. Ample of seats indoor and outdoor. Booking a table is highly recommended. Large car park and bike parking racks. Prices of drinks were more closer to London bars.

Large portions, delicious food but was missing a comfortable and warm decor. No drinks menu either. So easy to produce and saves having to go to the bar to look what's available. Shame.

Fabulous food, amazing service! We found this country pub whilst out on a drive and wanted to grab a Sunday roast, so called them (during COVID restrictions) and they obliged in giving us a table for 2 even though their eating areas were mega busy! And our experience got even better from there. We had probably the best roast dinner I have ever had, (no exaggeration) and were attended to by some extremely friendly and accommodating staff and even spoke to the chef. We were so happy with the meal that we ordered dessert and coffee, the whole meal was great value for money and I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family. The only downside is that you will have to drive to get there but the countryside views and idelic position makes this a worthwhile trip for a great bit of food!!
