Abbots Mitre in Test Valley

3 of us went for lunch and the experience was too drawer. Lovely waitress, fantastic food, and very dog friendly.The pub is a basic county pub with easy parking and a nice friendly atmosphere.Prices are reasonable for the food quality.We will be making a special journey in August to revisit.A great find

Delicious food and reasonably priced. Ate here 2 days on the run. I had one small complaint (my beef was too undercooked for my liking, but that's just personal preference) and this was dealt with professionally and happily by the staff. Lovely, helpful staff and management. Will definitely be returning when next in the area.

Lunch on a Sunday, good food, good portion, reasonable price, nice staff reasonably good service & good parking. They have a good walk to follow 3 odd miles, we got lost made our own route....

Pleasant atmosphere, greeted and seated promptly, friendly and attentive staff, full menu, all available, well cooked and presented, good wholesome food. First visit, and good experience, we will be returning in the future.

The Abbots Mitre is a lovely family friendly traditional English pub in the heart of Hampshire serving freshly cooked food and quality local ales. The food that we were served was absolutely first class and the presentation was "Michelin Class" as far as I am concerned and that's my opinion. The pictures don't do justice as I dug in mine before taking a photo. Well done and thank you to Jo and Lee who served us after a long day out. If you are ever close by or even in the area make a detour and pop in.

Had a lovely meal. Nice fresh vegetables. Chose the smaller portion menu and ordered a dessert not knowing that the main came with a free ice cream dessert. Never had two puds before! Service excellent. Friendly and relaxing atmosphere

Dine here regularly. The service and fare is excellent. My first choice for eating out. Highly recommended. If your not happy with something, mention it. These people care! Everything world class!

Most recent visit…a truly stunning 🌞😎😊 April weather day. Booked in for lunch, agreed with landlord could use the car park, met friend for delightful circa 10,000 step walk. Back for lunch, ate outside. Lovely ‘Swift One’ beer 🍺, very friendly and helpful staff… very tasty steak /cheese /bacon burger 🍔. Great value 👍Chilbolton idyllic village.

The food was completely devine and I had the best starter I ever had which was mushrooms with a poached egg on toast with English mustard and as you can see from the picture the presentation was ten out of town. Not my first time been many times but it just keeps getting better. I will be back. Great service to.
