Staff were great, beer was good but food was atrocious. People were being told that there was a half-hour wait for food but we waited well over an hour. Eggs were over done and strangely cut out. Chips were dry as were the peas. No one came to check if we were enjoying the food but we told the person who came to clear our table how poor the food was and she just smiled and said sorry! We were hungry after a days travel and did eat the food, so didn't make a fuss. We remarked that we hoped that the next morning chefs would be better and she said that she was sure they would be.The next morning at breakfast the buffet was missing tomatoes, hash browns and mushrooms. The hot drinks area was small and cramped. The coffee machine ran out of beans and we had to wait for it to be refilled but those who just wanted tea bags or hot water couldn't get to the machine. The facilities are appalling for a hotel of this size. It's not very often that I would advise people to stay away but on this occasion I most definitely would if you are wanting food.Definitely the worst food and facilities we have had at a Premier Inn establishment, or an establishment connected with Premier Inns.We definitely can't recommend this and we won't be staying there again.

Awful customer service, especially from the manager and behind the bar although the waiting staff were lovely. Three senior members of staff stood around gossiping while the wait staff ran around a full restaurant and even got told off in front of us, we felt so sorry for them. Forgot half the food that was ordered, the food that came was cold. When we were leaving there was a small sign that said you must give your licence plate in to the restaurant in order to not get charged which no-body mentioned while we were in there. When we went back to give it in we were told they “will put it in the system later” and if we get a letter to just keep our receipt. Definitely would not return.

I give this 5 stars, not because of how amazing the experience and food is but because it's exactly how it should be. Good food, friendly service and it's always been clean and tidy when I've been there. It's not a 5 star restaurant but if you're just after some good food for a reasonable price then you can't go wrong. It's the same in every brewers I've gone to which is good too, keeps it consistent

Pretty decent breakfast - good value for unlimited options. Continental was a little ropey... looked like it had been sitting there for a while but the hot selection was surprisingly good quality!

Booked a table for 8 people for 19.30.Had to ask if table was ready at 19.45When we ordered our meals, we were told it may be about 30 mins. Just over a hour later the food arrived, but was not as hot as expected, disappointing, the service brought down the expectation of the whole dining experience. Don't accept the excuse of staff shortage due to covid as this is an easy cop out.. Although we were staying in the hotel, we ate breakfast the following day, slight improvement, but the food was still warn and not hot.

The most unimpressive meal I have ever had anywhere. The food took almost an hour to come out and was cold. The waiting staff did their best in a difficult situation and are blameless in that respect. The food was poor value for money and poorly presented. When I complained the manager seemed to have a different view of how things were so he was obviously somehow convinced that my dining experience was better than I thought it was. Before I ordered, somebody was complaining in front of me which should have been a red flag but I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. I now wish I hadn't.

Staff were very nice, no one asked how our food was though. I thought they were supposed to when you're eating it. It wasn't good really. Burger was over cooked. I admit I ate it but not all of the chips because I can't stand wasting food but I won't rush to eat there again. I seriously can get better at home. It's nowhere near as good as it used to be. It is clean and the drinks were ok. Can't go wrong with coffee and a coke. I really didn't want to finish it and I probably would have said something if I was asked. I don't like complaining. I just won't go there again. Hardly any salad on the burger either. Or cheese. It wasn't good at all. The chips were like oven chips, not ones with skins on at all. It's fairly dire.

A tired looking Brewers Fayre that seems a little bit neglected and uncared for, lots of frayed and worn furnishings, and dated decor. The welcome was warm, staff were friendly, and the atmosphere seemed nice enough for a lunchtime family meal, but I don't think we'll be going back any time soon.I had the Christmas Burger with chips, my daughter had the adult's Mac and Cheese with garlic bread, and my son had the Kids' Meal Pizza with Garlic Flatbread starter and Brownie dessert. The kids thought the food was "okay, alright, about the right size" although my daughter thought the mac n cheese could have been a bit bigger. My burger was exceptionally dry despite the cranberry sauce and other condiments, but tasted ok, quite beefy but average. The chips were bland and while I'm sure they weren't, tasted like reheated chips rather than fresh.Throw in a bottomless soft drink, 2 J2Os, and 2 chocolate milks, and there was no change from £40. It's about standard price from these type of eateries, but I just can't believe it's worth it.

Relaxed atmosphere on Tuesday evening. We visited about 7.30pm Great variety of food but strangely no baked potatoes on the menu and no bread offered. I had the ribs which were good, my wife didn't like the sweet potato curry but it didn't spoil an enjoyable night!

The staff are all genuinely lovely. I just had the gammon and a rude desert subdae, with a low alcohol beer that was really good, to my surprise. Breakfast was the next morning as I stayed next door for an event nearby and is Premier Inn legendary. I didn't snap it.. but here is that "beer".
