I am gluten and dairy intolerant and the staff and the chef couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. My friend and I met for lunch and, as we hadn't seen each other since before Christmas, we had a lot to catch up on. The food was absolutely delicious and there was no time limit on the amount of time that we could sit at our table (unlike a much more inferioir venue that I had visited with a different friend the week before when we were supposed to have our table for one and three quarter hours but staff started hovering after one hour and 20 minutes!). Consequently, my friend and I had a lovely lunch and spent 4 hours in total catching up on each other's news. Absolutely fantastic food, service and venue. Would recommend the Dog and Crook and the staff without reservation! Thank you guys!

A visit with my relatives for overnight stay to catch up after not seeing each other for a couple of years, we all live quite far apart. Beautiful rooms, lovely views, excellent food. Friendly helpful staff. It was relaxing znd lively and clean. Food was exceptionally good. Quite a large car park. Lovely seating areas outside.

Great room with view overlooking beautiful nature. The staff was very helpful and keen to look after us our entire stay. The food and drinks were amazing as well. We had lovely grilled lamb chops, chef's pie and parsnip soup. Highly recommended and a must try!

amazing food, superb decor and service. would give 10/10 if I could, will be returning very soon. We've been trying to find somewhere local that served 5 star food for reasonable money and we've found it !

Great food, brilliant service. Be sure to order a side of Pigs in Blankets, you get three full size sausages, some of the best Bangers I've tasted.

Beautiful place, new owner (Liz) was really friendly and welcoming, made us feel like regulars.Good choices on the menu, specials now and again too. Great to find a chef who can actually cook, great attention to detail too.Must be tricky for locals to resist being here on a daily basis.Hopefully the website will be updated soon, so the menu is available, and specials can be checked. We’re looking forward to going back.

The room was nice amd clean but not many tv channels available, the shower control needed my husbands strength to get it going and the price of the room was, in our experience, was very pricey, especially as there was no breakfast included!!!! The meal in the evening again, was pricey. The food was average at best. Greasy potatoes not nice and crispy as they should have been. We realised that, with plenty of seating and being a Saturday evening, there were only two tables taken including us!!! This speaks for itself.

Absolutely Fantastic! The new staff were friendly and so helpful! The locally sourced full English was just amazing! We will 100% be staying again! Couldn’t fault it one but! The rooms were very clean, comfy and spacious!
