Horsebridge Station in Test Valley

To be fair I only went for an ice-cream, wasn't impressed by the service, no one acknowledged my presence until the manager asked if I had been served and got someone who had been doing nothing until then to get me a fairly expensive tub of ice-cream.Maybe having a meal there will be a better experience .... or maybe not ....

5 stars without question, we found this place by chance and were not sure what to expect. We were there on a Sunday about 14:30 and it was pretty quiet. However our food arrived in good time and it was exceptional! A good portion size, packed full of flavour, homemade yorkies and gravy, high quality ingredients. Overall a great experience that we won't forget, and we would live to come back if ever travelling in the area again, might even travel specifically we liked it that much

Lovely countryside pub, food is very good. And incredibly dog friendly.

You might have to wait a little bit for your Sunday roast as the pub is very popular - but that's no hardship with the friendly staff looking after you, a roaring fire, and great tasting drinks on tap. The wait is worthwhile for a really generous well cooked meal

Gave this pub 5 stars on our first visit about three years ago when the barmaid was friendly and welcoming and our tasty lunch was served promptly. Subsequent visits have left us feeling less satisfied each time, culminating in a peak of disappointment today as the landlord was abrubt, unhelpful and just about as unwelcoming as he could be to my wife when she was looking to order lunch. He was all smiles to customers he knew. Needless to say we won't be going back to somewhere we are not wanted. Pity

we had a lovely meal here. the food wasn't master chef fine dining but it was good honest home cooking and pretty tasty. service was also very good.

Incredibly friendly pub, with staff and other patrons going out of their way to make you feel welcome. Very good selection of beers and other drinks, with rotating specials to keep you interested. Food looks delicious

First time in the village, happen to come across this lovely pub, amazing portion sizing and good pricing,very helpful staff on what to order, i had the halloumi burger my partner had the beef burger and they were both amazing, we will be back very soon
