Absolutely loved this country inn. The staff were friendly and the dogs were adorable. The room had lots of nice little touches I.e a variety of teas, an espresso machine, sleep kits, sweets and more. My room was spacious and clean with a lovely view of the duck pond and deer enclosure. The dinner and wine menus were good and I loved the table settings.

Amazing place. Great food and very friendly & attentive staff. Rooms are so luxurious. Make sure you meet Barnie, Betty & Whisper, the pub dogs!

This gasto pub is a real gem and in a gorgeous remote location. A newish refurbished and looks nice and next to a deer park. We've passed quite a few times for a beer outside which is nice.Unfortunately never welcomed by staff, always feels like they are fitting you in and doing you a favour. Never managed to get served food on any occassion as its appears you must book in advance even thought there are empty tables inside and out. However you sit outside at a table with a beer and crisps, seems crazy you can't order food. For this reason I've rated it lower. I just don't understand why a gasto pub can't serve food to walk ins who are taking a table.

What a shame! Lovely location and the food may well be good too but the staff in the dining area were so rude, the experience got overshadowed. They were very dismissive and particularly unpleasant to my dad when we were there for lunch.

A great dog friendly Inn, with excellent food and accommodation. We stayed two nights and we were made welcome including our small dog by all the front of house team. This inn is undersold, it has a modern accommodation block with great views, smart rooms and its own courtyard with outside seating. We stayed in the ‘greyhound’ room on the 1st floor. The pubs garden is large and overlooks the village pond with ducks and deer in the nearby field. Food throughout our stay was delicious, well cooked and presented.Highly recommend this Inn for its food, friendliness towards dogs and the accommodation.Visited March 2022

Just got back from a fantastic 4 night stay at the Jack Russell with our 2 dogs. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We was a bit apprehensive about taking our dogs away with us but not to worry as this is truly a dog friendly place and they really are made to feel welcome also a nice touch of cooking a sausage for the dogs at breakfast! 😊🐶The food in the pub is different class & the rooms are immaculate & nicely decorated / furnished With water, tea & coffee, dog treats & even doggie beer! The hotel is quite isolated but adds to the country feel! Nice long walks for the dogs nearby with fantastic wildlife albeit quite muddy but to be expected this time of year.Thank you for a lovely stay and we will 100% return in the future.

Brilliant place. Stayed one night for business, the room was great, good parking and the restaurant excellent. Millie (Assistant Manager) was also very welcoming and excellent. Would strongly recommend.

Loved our stay here with our baby and dog! Situated in a quaint little village with pheasants running around. Room is clean with a big bathroom, and food is delicious. All the staff are friendly - special shout out to Chris who’s so considerate and memories all our preferences!

While this pub is a little bit off the beaten track, it is a mere 20min drive from where I live, and I had been wanting to come and try the food here for awhile. It is in a beautiful idyllic location, and I definitely would like to go back during daylight hours, so I can see the setting in all it's splendour. We booked for Sunday dinner, and whilst most pubs only do a Sunday roast at lunch time, it was a pleasant surprise to see we could order it for dinner. The food was exceptional, very tasty and the portion size was generous. The staff were friendly, and the food came out in a timely manner. If you are looking for somewhere new to try, I would highly recommend coming to eat here. They also have rooms you can stay in, and are dog friendly, with a table at the entrance where they take pictures of your furry friend and place it in a book, and it also has popcorn and a biscuit donut you can buy as a treat for your four legged rascal.
