First time back for quite a while !!! And like seeing a good friend again. Some of team have changed, but still great with the French Anchor man.Food as always fabulous and nice local Romsey beer. Only 3.7% so great for the driver Me !!!Today had the avocado and crab, and hot goats cheese salad.Never been disappointed here, a bit of France in Hampshire

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, polite efficient staff. Food was very tasty and served quickly, portion sizes were just right. I would highly recommend a visit, don't know why I have never been before considering that I have lived in Romsey for many many years.

I had high hopes of this place. We thought about going here for a while. We went with friends who suggested coming here. The food wasn't what I expected. I had the onion tart which was pureed. It was OK. Followed by the chicken breast with mushrooms and calvados sauce. The sauce was watery and tasteless, the vegetables were cold and the chicken was chewy. My other half wasn't impressed either but said his duck confit was nice. I didn't want to complain as I was with friends. It was such a shame. I may come again as it may have just been a bad day or I should have picked something else.

Very nice. Have a three course set menu that's very tasty and reasonably priced.

Excellent lunch here. Set price menu is good value. The food was well cooked and attractively presented . Pleasant staff and atmosphere. Would go again.

Unobtrusive & excellent cuisine, service & atmosphere. Great bar area for a coupe of house champagne. While exuding the quiet confidence of knowing what they're doing. Chapeau!

Lovely atmosphere, like being in France without having to do the covid test to go. Really enjoyed the evening. Didn't give 5 stars as my filet mignon was not that tender but the other meals were all good. Would look forward to going again

It was OK, sadly not amazing. I can see the restaurant is popular with a good turnout for lunch on a Friday. Service was OK, maybe not grumpy and indifferent like true French restaurants but slow and somewhat lacking in attention as we had to ask to order, ask for the bill etc, no checking part way through the meal, long ish waits for things we had requested. Food distinctly average, onion soup did not have a toasted crouton topped with melted cheese on, like every single one I've had in France but small pot of grated cheese and some croutons. Soup was reasonably tasty however. My father's snails were OK, a bit small but fine. The mains of chicken escalope in mustard sauce was quite plain, not as appealing as my father's duck confit. However both meals came with grainy, lukewarm mash and some ratatouille which was was also cool. For the cost it could have been better as the ambience is good and quite French in style. I think with some effort it could be better.

This is just about the 'best' restaurant I've ever been to, and I've been going to La Parisienne for the last 30 years. It's like sitting down with friends, in a genuine bit of France here in the UK. The bread alone is worth a visit. We named our kids here, our kids went on to learn their restaurant etiquette here, and appreciation of wine. We're more than glad to see them come through the trials of the past 18 months, more or less intact. Plus appreciation de La Parisienne!
