Last time I had a meal there the prawn balls were mush. The batter hard and greasy. Chips were old and hard. The bbq spare ribs were chewy and sauce really runny. We use the one in Winchester ( absolutely amazing food ) never go back to pearl river again

I ordered chicken ball I thought it came with sweet and sour sauce I got curry sauce which I did not ask for it not a very good Chinese they have gone down hill

Bloody awful. The forth time I've given this place a chance since the lock down. Tried something different each time and it just gets worse. The portions are getting smaller, the salt content increases and the dishes aren't what they used to be. Rip off plus cash only in this day and age!! Been coming here for 40+ years, but never again. Try beans on toast, but avoid here!

Good service, quality of meals ok but lost points today due to portion sizes on meals being reduced considerably. This reflects other reviews recently published and is disappointing as we used this takeaway plenty of times pre Feb 2020. Will try somewhere else next time.

Ordered for 3, "mixed meat" chowmein was bad quality, the meat was awful I had no confidence in eating it. The 2 dishes of rice both egg and special fried was bland and had no taste in it, both bad. 2 dishes of chilli beef was watery and again didn't taste great. All in all i returned it and was given half my money back for the food. The owner was rude about it, though to be expected from a return order. The women on the front who served us originally was nice however. Only reason I gave it 2 stars.

Have been using Pearl River for over 35 years and tonight have promised never to use again. The prawn curry contained over cooked tiny shrimps and 90% sauce. Will be lucky to see the night through without a trip to hospital with food poisoning.What has happened to what used to be the best in Andover, never again.
