The George and Dragon, Hurstbourne Tarrant in Test Valley

I only went for a drink and chat, ended up with one of the best burgers I've had for a long time.

Such a beautiful pub, the food is amazing and the stuff lovely to talk to. They looked after us really nicely!!! Happy to go back again very soon with friends and family! Highly recommended place! Great job George and Dragon, thank you!!!

We went for dinner on their reopening night and it was amazing! Service was efficient, friendly and attentive. Food was delicious (the sticky toffee pud was particularly tasty!) The new decor is fab and a little bit quirky. Can't wait to go again. You would never have known it was their first night of dinner service, from our perspective, it was seamless!

Like the Pheasant, the previous restaurant, superb quality, great setting and atmosphere. Service friendly, polite and warm. Great food.

Well for over 60 years I've ate out conveniently, starter meat veg, dessert etcNow an different concept.Thank goodness !How brave to do this British Tapas....I absolutely loved it !A bit confusing how or what to order, with fantastic guidance and advice we got there.I do think personally the parsnip sauce was delicious on my ice cream.Can't wait to try it again with different choices.Thank you 😊

Great food, everything worked with each other and everything was locally sourced. The menu changes weekly depending on what stock can be bought at the time. The pub offers small plates and recommends 2-3 plates per person, we had 5 between 2 of us and that was more than enough and pudding was yum!

Had a fantastic night stay. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, nothing was too much. The service was amazing from start to finish. The food.. wow.. great dinner, lovely breakfast. Rooms were beautiful, clean and fully stocked with luxurious lotions and shower wash. Book DIRECT with them, it makes a difference!
