Scrumptious meals cooked from scratch in this picturesque country pub. I highly recommend the rack of ribs (slow cooked for added tenderness), chicken schnitzel with parmisan sauce, fresh pizza and home made cheesecake. Best to book as the lion is very popular, esp for Sunday lunch.

Lovely establishment, the food was exceptional and a substantial portion as well. This is a relaxed and welcoming environment to enjoy a family meal. I will definitely visit again.

Absolutely cannot rate the Sunday roasts high enough, best roast dinner we've had out in a very long time, amazing food, also sticky toffee pudding was excellent, will most definitely be eating here again.

Lovely food and staff. Good portions well cooked. Good price also but eating area was very noisy.

Been a couple of times and every time the food and service has been great, the only thing we did notice is that other tables were eating different food to what was on the menu, just wondering if they were specials, if so we didn't know anything about them. Other than that would recommend to everyone.

What a lovely pub - inside and out! Very peaceful setting, plenty of parking and nice outside seating areas. The staff are so friendly, and the food delicious! Excellent value for money.👍🙂

A great atmosphere for lunch with choices to sit outside or in (several rooms to choose from). Good selection of dishes. The steak in my baguette was a wonderful rare just as I had requested. Others with me also complimentary on the food they ordered. For a large party we were served remarkably quickly, too. Fair prices for the quality, too. Great service topped it off. Recommended.

Freehold restaurant and bar with conference rooms owned by the Simpson family who also own the MOT testing garage in the village of clanville, near Andover.The restaurant is open for lunch from 12 pm till 2.30pm. Then dinner is served between 6pm and 9.30pm. The menu is modern British and serve pizza as well.Plans for hotel rooms are underway and soon or later, this will be quite ideal for escape to the countryside
