Called in on spec for lunch on a Saturday, without having booked, and received a very friendly welcome. Furthermore the food was excellent, as was the local ale. Unusually for a pub the vegetarian offerings were many and varied. I had the veggie burger with all the trimmings and it was very good indeed. A very nice touch was to be offered small mince pies gratis at the end of the meal. Highly recommended!

A SOLID SUNDAY ROAST ! Visited for the day and had a great time with family!

Home cooked food at a reasonable cost. We had the home cooked Thia curry. So noticeable how this had been cooked with fresh chicken . Topped with fresh herbs . Yes you may say why is this different from other pubs .. It’s because it hasn’t been frozen or pre packed ! Come try it for yourself ..

We were recommended to try the Royal Oak when another pub in Upper Clatford was full for Sunday lunch. What an amazing find! Sunday roasts were all deliciously home cooked - evidenced by the hand cut carrots and rustic yorkshires.Nice selection of cider as well in a lovely country pub setting that is also child friendly. Definitely recommended as a lunch stop off the A303 close to Andover.

Very friendly staff and landlord. If you want the best curry in the county go here. The food at the Royal Oak is wonderful.

Pleasant relaxing and spacious dining area, attentive staff, good varied menu. Moderate, but acceptable wait for order to be served, food hot, well presented and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyable Sunday lunch, will definitely be back!!

Delicious cod, chips and peas in the pub garden on a sunny September day. Beautiful flowers and well kept garden.

Nice English village pub with seating in beautiful peaceful garden.Their menu included dishes for all tastes.. Homemade delicious pizzas, many different kinds of sandwiches and salads for lite lunches. Steaks, homemade pies and casseroles to choose from.I truly enjoyed the brie and beetroot tart which was served with new potatoes, salad and coleslaw. Freshly made and flavorsome. Their local brew was really enjoyable.Place was very clean. Staff very polite and friendly.I'd be happy to drink and eat here regularly.
