Shocking price for a savoloy & chips ,& neither of which had tasted that good (a dry old savaloy) it wasn't a generous portion (for chips). Savoloy had tasted like it was a few days old! Yuck, won't go here again! I Threw half a portion away for the seagulls to eat!

Cheap and tasteless. I'm surprised by the positive reviews - must be friends of the owner and it would explain why the place was empty when there were ques to every other restaurant in the town. The chips were ribber like and literally tasteless. The biggest positive is we did not get food poisoning. Do not go there - the other places are much better.

Gave it 1 star because couldn't give lower. Every time I've had scampi it's been a disappointment, burnt or overcooked, tonight it was a mush inside and un recognisable as scampi totally put me off. Would've taken back but not worth the extra cost of petrol. Not the first time had disappointing food. Quarter chicken before was over cooked and dry. Going to Alfie's in Margate in future

This "Fish" lead me right in the toilets, I'm directly going to make a cancer test.I don't really know what I really ate but i'm not even sure I wanna know.I hope me and the toilets will survive this...The Fanta had the taste of Fanta, that's the only positive thing about my experience.

The staff are always bubbly and smiling and they're so friendly especially with young kids. The chips are outstanding and so are the sausages. I can't personally comment on the fish as I don't like fish but I've been told that's delicious too.

Broadstairs Fish Bar, at The Broadway in Broadstairs, was a case of volume over taste when I tried it. The large amount of food can't on first sight be faulted, but I might have preferred less of a plateful if the fish, although reasonably fresh, wasn't buried in a mass of thick batter making it look larger than it was - a frequent trick with chip shops. The chips were lacking in taste and were rather chewy, a sure sign of not being refried, oil not hot enough, or the chipped potatoes not left to dry off long enough before frying. Refrying chips for a light texture, and a thinner batter to allow the taste of fish to dominate, would improve this chippy's offer. However, my friend rated this one more favourably. Watch out for prowling gulls if you sit near the door - one flew into this chippy and bullied food off a plate. Take a walk down into town to be sure of better fish 'n' chips.

Fantastic fish, best ever, great chips all cooked to order, very large portions. Friendly staff, want more can be said.

Since taking over from previous owners this fish bar has been turned around, from mediocre to magnificent. Fish and chips their speciality and cooked to perfection. The food is not oily and fish is usually cooked fresh making it succulent with every mouthful. Service excellent and staff very friendly especially with families who have children. Highly recommended.
