CCCP Restaurant in Thanet

We had a lovely time at CCCP - nice atmosphere and décor, the food was absolutely tasty (we had the Russian salad, trout, dumplings and honey cake). Ramsay was a great host with a great sense of humour - Merci beaucoup / cпасибо !

How can i say it?? Rip off, non authentic Russian food. Lots of short cuts used, including the use of shop bought mayonnaise to hide the bland flavours of the food. Dishes completely overpriced and small. The beer was watered down and flavourless and the wine cheap plonk.We ordered but promptly left before our main course was brought to us. For £20 a main dish i would expect top notch like the food i have eaten in Russian restaurants in London that i have eaten in.Don't waste your money.

Surprisingly good! All home cooked to order, very high quality. Owner is always willing to please. Highly recommended.

Apart from a small problem with the heating which they tried to fix with a radiator, we had the best experience, excellent customer service, very very tasty food. I recommend this place 100%

Eating here was amazing, from the moment we walked in we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. I came here about 10 years ago as a child and boy oh boy am I glad I came back as an adult!The herring salad was brilliant, as were the fried rye bread sticks, even better than the ones I had in Lithuania! Ramsay the host was good enough to explain the pros and cons of different types of bread used for this purpose when I asked.The mains were similarly great and more than enough to fill our bellies. These were washed down with a delicious red ale and a few special little vodkas - all to the ambience of Russia's top 40 charts. It's a top place and it deserves our support, Ramsay and his wife really care about the restaurant and it shows!There is also a fine hat on offer for anyone daring enough to pose.

Amazing restaurant, I really like the food quality and atmosphere. A lot of dishes from ex Soviet Union countries. Great place!

I celebrated my 50th birthday at this restaurant on 28th October on the basis of previous reviews. It was a busy night as there were 16 of us at one point. Ramsay took our food orders in advance and everything went smoothly on the day. We all had an enjoyable evening. Ramsay and his crew looked after us, the varied dishes we had were very tasty and portions were big. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely brilluant food, loved the atmosphere the owner is top notch and has a great sense of humour. I had the chicken kiev which was lovely, but the honey cake...well that's another level and the beer 🍺 ummmm love it...worth every penny

Wonderful family run restaurant, it is clear that the owners have a lot of pride in their food and culture, which made for a delightful and delicious evening.

The owner is very friendly. The food was delicious and the cozy atmosphere with the everyone detail is makes you come back again. Hot recomend 🙂 Спасиба!
