Churchill Tavern in Thanet

Sitting here after enjoying a fabulous steak. Had a few in Ramsgate and this is the best yet. Awesome meal. Lovely attentive, friendly service I highly recommend a visit. The pub has a good selection of beers and wines as well.

Quirky dog friendly with ample seating over several levels, some with views of the harbour. We came for Sunday lunch, not the best we’ve had but far from the worst.Beef was chewy and meat could possibly be bought in ready sliced, gravy far to salty. Veg perfectly cooked, and the jam rollyPolly was amazing. friendly staff, at the time of visiting £11.95 for one course and £16.95 for two

Discovered this pub on Saturday while looking for a place to eat.Myself and my 2 small childrenReally glad we found it.Lovely friendly staff, very helpful and accommodatingWe each had a nice meal. Children's meals were quite large.I had the skate. It was lovely.We decided to come back the next day for the Sunday dinner menu. It was lovely. Will visit again. Fab staff fab food. And a band were playing on the Sunday so we really enjoyed visiting The Churchill TavernFabulous atmosphere and friendly locals too.Recommend

My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat at lunchtime in Ramsgate and decided to visit The Churchill Tavern. We knew it very well for the fantastic live music that landlord Stuart puts on, but hadn't tried Seasides Restaurant at the pub. We're so glad we ate there as the food was brilliant! Chef Ian and Restaurant Manager Lorraine do a fantastic job and sitting in the upper part of the pub overlooking the sea was great. A really nice way to spend a lunchtime, we will definitely return!

1st time in here for 4yrs or so, booked a table and WOW, we had king prawns to start,mi wife had lasagne n I had surf n turf,mi steak was perfect n the onion rings were like I've never had before😘,if I had 1 thing to moan about my surf was scampi n I was expecting a bit of crab/lobster,but apart from that,staff were great the young lad was very polite n tended to us,definitely go back,

Food was outstanding quality and great value. We were sat in a comfortable setting with a great view and pleasant relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely eat here again. It’s extremely convenient as I often visit the pub for live musical entertainment.

We visited The Churchill Tavern last night. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the open fire, good wine and beer. We also ate at the newly opened Seaside Restaurant which I highly recommend.

One of the best boozers in Ramsgate for ale choice and has a pool table and darts to boot. A pint in the winter beside a roaring fire is a lovely thing indeed.

Great service and selection of draught ales, some new to us all verry good quality.Were new to the area and now investigating local pubs and bars. Was just a pop in visit, will try the food someday.Nice big pub and very comfortable.

The wife and I are in the process of buying a spot in Ramsgate so very chuffed to find this gem of a pub. Very nice inside. Local artists on the wall and pleasant atmosphere. Sun streaming through the big corner room windows probably didn't hurt. White bait portion size immense but the actual fishies probably a tad too big (freaked the Mrs out a bit). Sunday lamb roast bang on. Lots of tasty veg. Crucially not overcooked. Lamb yum with good gravy portion. Defos go back.
