Lesters in Thanet

Fantastic combined Birthday Celebrations for my dad's 90th and my Daughter's 40th at Lester's. Big thank you to Barry, Sue and all the staff for a wonderful buffet with great food and brilliant service. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Highly recommended, will be back next year for mums 90th.Thanks again for a memorable evening.

Lesters is an amazing down to earth pub and restaurant. The owners Barry and sue are amazing as are the girls who serve you. Nothing is to much trouble for any of them! Have been there yet again today for my favourite lunch time dish... Nachos stuffed with chilli con carne and topped with lashings of cheese. Oh my they are sooooo yummy! I have them all the time. As for Barry and Sue I cannot fault them and thank them for what the managed to do for me and my family. We had paid to go for Christmas Day dinner. However my mum who has dementia had to go into hospital and we were busy go up and down seeing her and told she wouldn't be out for Xmas day . I spoke and told sue and she said if I can manage to pick the dinner up from the kitchen back door area then she would do our dinner as a take away meal,. And with Barrys help they did just that for us and only charged us a fraction of the price for it. We also had the rest of the money put aside "behind the bar" as credit to spend when we went in for our future lunches. They really did go above and beyound to make our Xmas day dinner achievable for us at such a difficult time.We have since taken mum and dad in Lester's for a Sunday meal and my god it was superb. Fresh, tasty, large variety of veg, succulent meats, etc. And don't get me started on the puddings ... They were just simply delicious!!!Thank you so much all of you who were involved in boxing up our hot Xmas starters , dinners and puddings and for the lovely kind presents you gave us. You are an all rounder pub that everybody should visit!!!!

The Food is Amazing. Service was good. Did I mention the food was amazing. Booked for 10 people for Sunday Roast, everyone was stuffed and enjoyed every tasty bite. The vibe was good. Obviously a place to return to as many regulars were there and on first name terms with the staff and we were made very welcome. Next time we are in the area we will definitely return to sample the rest of the menu.

I booked Lesters for a funeral, it’s in very close proximity to Thanet Crematorium which was my initial reason for choosing them. I booked the gold buffet. Sue and Barry put in a fantastic and incredibly fresh spread, the guests were very complimentary and everything went. The room was perfect size and lay out for the wake, and gave us plenty of privacy from the main bar area.I had a normal meal in the evening and it was delicious.Sue and Barry were always responsive and helpful. Friendly and accommodating throughout my dealings with them. I would highly recommend Lesters to anyone.Thanks for putting on a a wonderful afternoon for us.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch hereAll the staff were lovely and attentiveHad a great selection of meats and my daughter asked for a Yorkshire with her lamb meal .. which wasn't a problem!Great selection of veg and cauli/brocoli cheese includedI was offered extra gravy for our veg .. which I acceptedI was slightly surprised the gravy was added as an extra on the bill !This wasn't a problem at all and we didn't quibble!I was just not expecting it to be an extra!Overall .. a lovely Sunday lunch and I would recommend 😊

Great bar / restaurant they cater for private parties Hog roast can be a good idea depending how big your party is , advanced booking is recommended. Staff were very attentive and they were a happy bunch, food was excellent and they were very attentive .

I really loved going here. The minute we walked in we were hit by the amazing music followed by extremely friendly people. I would definitely recommend anyone to go.

Really enjoyed this pub, mainly for the good vibes inside. From the outside and inside, there isn’t anything that majorly stands out looks wise. However, the staff were friendly, the owner was really kind and the the resident dog made it feel more homely... It was decent pub grub, I enjoyed my steak and ale pie :). The owner even waved us off when we left... you don’t get that at your average town bar/pub.Note: There is pool and darts area available and seating / small kiddy area outside as well decent amount of parking.
