Oriental Inn Chinese Takeaway in Thanet

I've always used Oriental Chef for our takeaways. It's reasonably priced, reasonable food quality and always good for home delivery.

I ordered chicken balls with sweet & sour sauceEgg fried rice, spare ribs, mini spring rolls..incredibly shocked at what arrived, i opened a chicken ball, it was brown, hard & clearly very old, checked them all, exactly the same, spare ribs, again so old, & hard & dried up, empty spring rolls, just filo pastry….rice, very brown ( i ordered egg fried rice, so not sure what they sent me) oily & tasteless.Perhaps this was a one off because they were busy, but for all those that order the same as i did, check your food before you put it in your mouth.My order went straight in the cats bowl & even she said no 🤷🏼‍♀️ £23.00 wasted after such a long wait too….

Very poor and extremely overpriced rubbish for £13 a fraudulent rip-off

Almost 30 years of using this Chinese takeaway. Really nice food.

First time ordering from these guys on Saturday evening, it was stunning. No complaints at all. If you're looking for a new Chinese takeaway, I would definitely recommend. Thank you 😊

The food was disappointing. My dad said that the meat was not fresh. I myself found that my meal was too sweet as they added way too much sugar to my Kung Po Hot Chilli King prawns. They were absolutely drenched in sweet and sour sauce. All the food was red for some reason even though Singapore Vermicelli is usually a yellowish colour. The only thing that was somewhat normal was the beef chow mein. Not worth the money spent.

I ordered king prawn balls. They were fried to a crisp. Burnt and dry. I rang and told them so they offered a replacement. They arrived within 5-10 mins the same as the first lot! Inedible. The chicken satay tasted very odd too.

Good quality food but poor service. The portion sizes have been variable, with just a half portion of chow mein tonight (there was no small/large option btw) whereas last night’s order came with a bigger portion. Also, having been told yesterday we’d only get free prawn crackers for collected orders over £15, today’s order was over that value and we were told it has to be over £25!

Staff lovely, seems very clean. The beef curry was lovely not a lot of beef but ok. But crispy beef no source I felt had not been cooked also pork balls were just cooked.Talked to neighbours and told very unusual as told normally lovely. Maybe new cook in training, very disappointed.

Amazing service and food.While I was waiting to collect my food it was clear they were very busy but I didn't have to wait long.Drove home and discovered two missing items, it happens. I called them up and they offered to deliver it out to us, even though we live a fair distance outside of the delivery zone.The missing food arrived within 40 minutes (taking into account the 20 minute drive and how busy they were)As well as the excellent service, the food was delicious, highly recommend.
