Papa's Fish & Chips - Cliftonville in Thanet

I don’t even know where to start! Hugely friendly welcome, after we ordered the lovely lady came back and gave us an extra starter just because she could I guess, she then popped back and topped up my son’s milkshake because apparently she “always makes too much”. Really lovely food, we’re in the frying business ourselves, so it’s always noticeable when people are cooking from fresh oil. Can’t recommend enough!

Friendly chippy. I ordered Large haddock, regular chips and mushy peas for £11.90 which was ample for two people so good value. Haddock cooked to order. Small waiting area in takeaway section. Restaurant behind.

Visited Papas whilst in short break in Folkestone. Very good selection of fish dishes and other things u wasn't expecting. I went for the Rock (eel) as i knew it in Essex, but they did list it's several other names Inc Huss. It was a generous portion on the bone. A good portion of chips too with my fish and my friend's mushroom omlette. It was very clean in the restaurant and the waiter wore a face mask. There were several other people enjoying the food when we went about 6:30. I'd definitely go again and try some if the other items if cone to Folkestone again.

Good food. VC Jones Whitstable and Maggie's better but this place was very good. Coriander went with the Plaice, told The B man that he's a nutter!

Always go to Papa's for freshly cooked Rock and Chips. Absolutely delicious, not greasy, batter is crispy and always nice chips. Service is efficient and friendly. A great fish bar.

Decent prices and decent portion… sauce should be included too

One of the best chippys in Folkestone. Great curry sauce, spot on fish but the chips are often small portions compared some other chip shops in the area.

Always good. Usually busy. Good selection of fried and battered foods to go with well cooked and tasty chips. Worth the queue if there is one. There is an option to eat in the restaurant too. Portions are huge, with a small chips often enough for 2 people to share alongside the fish.

One of my favourite places to eat. The food is always fresh & warm & the staff are lovely & very friendly.My favourite dish is to order a Cod with salad and chips. Delicious lovely cooked.Feels like homemade dish.Also the jacket potato is properly cooked and it's very chrispy.Im definitely recommending to pop in and dine in
