There's as reason why this Broadstairs gem is always fully booked: the food is incredible. We've been here a few times and enjoyed food and drink that compete with the best fish restaurants anywhere! The sea bass is pure joy on a plate: meaty and flavoursome yet delicate with a skin browned to perfection, served on a bed of butter-filled mash that's like a pillow of silk and stuffed with spinach Popeye would be proud of. Certainly one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. As that cockney chancer Greg Wallace might say "I could eat that all day". And he'd be right!

The food is good. Portions are huge. They know how to cook their seafood. Family friendly. Staff are hardworking and helpful. Love it. Go for the Deep fried whole seabass in sweet and sour sauce! The skate with capers is awesome! Vegetable sides are big portion and yummy. I have been here 3 times in 6 years! Go for it!

We dined here Aug 2021 and had the best time. The staff were really attentive, the food was delicious and plentyful and the owners were super welcoming! We will definitely be returning when we are next in the area.

Excellent service and food.We were in Broadstairs for the day and wanted a quick dinner before home.Luckily they managed to fit us in right on opening at 6pm. Absolutely perfect service and we will definitely return when in town again.The sea bass fillet, with lemon mash and spinach was cooked beautifully. I could easily have eaten the same again. The skate meuniere was as expected the same quality food and luckily my wife and I always share so got to try both.Desserts were also interesting with a lovely refreshing meringue with summer fruits and a lemon polenta that was excellent.Highly recommend and wish all the team well as service was brilliant. Excellent service! Great wine and seafood, I had a lobster and my partner has the crab risotto both were delicious! Would 100% reccomend and go again!

I visited on Saturday night with 4 other friends whilst on a long weekend away (we are not local). Between us we had scallops and salt cod fritters for starters which were all delicious and well presented. For mains three of our party had the burger, skate and sea bass (all delicious according to my friends), whilst another friend and I had mussels for main.Unfortunately several hours after visiting the two of us who ate mussels experienced *very* bad food poisoning (through process of elimination we are sure it was the mussels as they were the only thing the other 3 in our party hadn't eaten over the previous 2 days).We tried to get in touch with the restaurant privately to encourage them to stop serving their mussels (they say there are no problems with them or their preparation and continue to serve them) and to ask for compensation (a refund on the part of the meal for the two of us who experienced food poisoning) but we were unfortunately not believed.We explained that we would rather resolve the issue privately over publishing a review online that reflected our true experience as we know it hasn't been easy for small, local businesses over the last year but they haven't offered to refund us for our meals or stopped serving their mussels and instead accused us of blackmail. Not normally one to post a bad review but continue to feel incredibly unwell several days later and it really ruined our holiday. Do not get the mussels!

Excellent food, went there for my partner’s bday meal and it was superb. Staff was very attentive, the atmosphere was cozy and intimate, excellent wine. Can’t recommend enough!!!

Lovely atmosphere, food was very pleasant, nice selection of wine. Service was polite but non attentive. We were ignored once our food arrived and not given an opportunity to order more drinks or desert. Waitresses were on their phones and the presumed chef/owner was chatting to other tables while drinking beer. Soured the evening a little.
