Great food and we were not rushed out when we had finished.

·

Delicious meal, friendly staff, take your own alcohol, and they participate in Meerkat Meals so 2 for the price of 1 Sun-Thurs if you've got it!

·

Had an absolutely lovely takeaway meal delivered to my door yesterday. The quantity and quality is always first class from Spice Cottage and never disappoints.

·

Personally, it is the best Indian food in town. The owner of the restaurant ( Bader Al Zaman ) is so kind during Ramadan 2012. He was offering free Iftar ( Dates, Water and some traditional food), couldn’t forget his kindness.

This was the blandest curry i have ever eaten. I hope your chef was just having a bad day. The meat was well cooked but the flavour was not there at all.. the paneer also had raw peas and onions in, gross...

First time ordering from here as our usual one is closed and I will be returning!! The food was amazing, the quality of the meat was the best I've had in a long time, just melts in your mouth! This is now our favourite and will be returning regularly!

Really lovely curry with great flavour and spices. You can take your own booze (which is a bonus in my eyes) and remember to take cash as they don’t take cards. Don’t expect anything posh just enjoy the food.

Walked in. Weren't seated just told to find a table by the person on the door. We did.Place looks like some-one's front room in quite a shoddy state. But that wasn't the main issue. No-one ever came over. Not for drinks nor for food or for any explanation. We just sat. And waited. We thought we might be on Candid Camera. After 20 mins got up and left. There is a much better place just a couple of doors along we found.Odd business model.

Ordered a takeaway 2 hours in advance this time lapses and we chased it up to be told sorry we only have one driver it’s on our list!We then said how longNot sure we are busySo I went to get it I was spoken to in a rude degrading manner and all the food was stacked by the door maybe 25 orders for take awayRice curry’s bread everything. Not under temperature controlI asked for the food to be probed sorry we don’t have one was the response.I took the food home after a bit of a discount to find as I thought it was nearly all inedibleRice less than 40 degreesCurry the sameBread under 25 degrees.Heads up to all don’t order from here unless you are prepared for bad service and sub standard food.Environmental health have been informed.

This is a very standard Indian restaurant. The menu is unexciting and the same as you can find in a thousand others. The decor is fairly shabby and could do with clean and update, the toilets are functional but shabby and it was really cold inside on the night we went in a group of twelve. That said, the food was ok - (not good but ok) - and the prices are reasonable. A big plus is that you can take your own booze which keeps prices down. Fine for a group.
