The malt house is a lovely, relaxing venue with good beer and a nice atmosphere. The kitchen is upmarket but a little disappointing. The presentation and quality of the food is good but the dishes lack refinement and, most importantly, flavour. All that said, it's a lovely venue in a picturesque village.

What a fantastic place! We eat in the restaurant only and the experience was amazing. The staff made us feel very welcome. My family have some food intolerances and they had prepared a specific menu for them. Great service and i think other restaurants can learn from this. Many thanks

Hi there we stayed in the Hardy Room very small and rustic, The bed was so hard we did not sleep very bad awful, The traffic noise outside via our period window came very early. However the staff was very pleasant professional this made a difference. The food was very good 👍Just we had a very bad night, sorry we will not be returning.

Lovely rooms. Stylish hotel with fancy restaurant. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.

Excellent Inn, with great food and beer. The room was fine but felt a little cramped made worse by the 4 poster bed and a setee. The bathroom was also small, although it was modern and clean. We were at the front of the Inn and it got a bit noisy with the traffic from about 6am, as there was no double glazing. The staff and service were excellent.

First class! It's hard to imagine how you could possibly improve the Acorn Inn? We had a lovely stay and will be back again, and we only live a few miles away.

A lovely country pub with a warm welcome. We had our dog with us so we eat in the bar. The menu is seasonal with lots of local produce. Food was first class modern British classic with a touch of French inspiration. Would strongly recommend if you enjoy fine food

The food was fantastic, lovely atmosphere as well. But what really made it was the service we received especially from Tomas who was fantastic best service in a restaurant I have had in a long time. Thank you.

The staff looked after our large and difficult group exceptionally well.We were 15 people, some of whom had dietary requirements - the staff were very accommodating, and service was seamless. They set us up on the skittle alley and it looked beautiful. The food was fantastic- looked stunning and tasted delicious. The kids burgers were delicious (says my 10 year old)

Fantastic staff, stayed for one night in a small room, felt £140 was a little over priced as the room felt rather dated and tired, however the bed was comfy and homemade fudge a lovely touch. Dinner was good, I had the steak and it was perfectly cooked. The Acorn was good but we won't be rushing back, having stayed in other red carnation properties it just felt a bit lacking.
