Always excellent food and very attentive service

The Ali Raj was very disappointing! Food was awful- we ordered an achari lamb curry, the pieces of lamb were hardly edible & tasted of no achar whatsoever. It tasted of blended tomatoes nd lemon juice with 3 pieces of lamb in. To top it of- I was given a burnt naan to enjoy. The only reason I'm giving a 1 star is because of the half decent decor & music. Overall very disappointed & a waste of my hard earned money.

order delivered was the wrong order,phoned the restaurant and who ever I was speaking to phoned the driver,it took this driver thirty five minutes to return I asked if this order had been re-cooked at the restaurant she replied I don’t know,total time for ordering this food to arrive was one hour and forty five minutes, it’s warm enough to eat but not the standard I would expect.

Not good at all for a start ever thing was stone cold thay are less than 3 mins away, totally tasteless, will not be using again.

As always the Ali Raj has great service and great food. There is a 20% discount if you collect your food order which makes it much better value then some other indian take aways.We did notice that there was less meat and more sauce this time around, which is more an indication of the hard economic times we are all facing.But the food was still ti the same high standard we have come to expect.Having eaten from several other local Indian restaurants in the area this one is my favorite and the certainly the customer service is always great.

The short staffed staff were pleasant and tried really hard, but the food was awful. Cornflower thickened glup covered the ‘curry’. Very disappointing given the ratings and reviews. The bar must be low in Margate.

Ordered at 5pm for delivery at 7pm as I new it would be busy, being NYE. Arrived at 7:45 and unable to get through to the restaurant prior to this. Meal was cold and not as good usual. Bread was burnt, rice flavorless and no cheese in sagg paneer and it tasted wrong. Onion bajies soggy. Unable to get through to restaurant post delivery so a rather disappointing NYE meal.

Lovely food. But a long wait if you eat in on a Friday or Saturday night because of all the takeaway orders

Decent place to eat. Comfortable seating, alright food. We arrived 40 mins before closing time. Were made to rush. No complains though. Overheard someone telling the staff they had the best curries that person has ever had! Very complimenting, but my back was facing the person. I am not sure how much he had to drink that evening. Sorry I just won't comment any more on that. You need to decide. Parking nearby.
