Prosecco lunch for two as last meal at Ambrette Margate as they sadly close this location 4th April 22.Food and service very good as always and staff very professional and friendly.Good luck to all the staff we wish them every success going forward and we will see you in Canterbury.

Lovely meal today with my better half. Used a 2for1 lunch voucher, 3 courses and prosecco. Great food and usual and friendly staff also ordered the afternoon tea for 2 to take home. Definitely be returning

Ordered a take away through their website. Paid £6.99 delivery. Arrived one hour and five minutes late.I rang after 30 minutes late and was assured order had been despatched. Rang again after an hour, passed from one person to another. Told couldn't find my house. Live in main road and house has big number on front door. Eventually whilst on the phone delivery arrived.Took another 10 minutes to remove food from foil containers and microwave it as was cold, inedible at that temperature. Also has 2 burgers, had to deconstruct and microwave the filling. All in all very disappointed with my first order. Suffice to say I won't be making another order.

Not the place to go if you want massive portions of average curry. Definitely the place to go if you want a whole new experience of what an "Indian" can be. The menu doesn't have a vast selection so it quickly comes down to a choice of 2 or 3. I chose an aubergine pie but it didn't look like a pie. Instead it was a selection of aubergine foods, every one so delicious it blew my mind! And the broccoli like I've never tasted, cooked to perfection and still feeling "fresh" and spicy. Deserts not cheap of massive but again, will blow your mind! Highly recommended.

Haven't been to the Ambrette in a few years but was happy to try the 12 course Christmas tasting menu last night. I'm so glad I had the half price offer and didn't pay £70 for essentially 12 mouthfuls of (very average) food. The only course that was remotely enjoyable was the salmon, so it was a shame there was only a morsel of that. Basically 12 canapés, not 12 courses. Went home disappointed and hungry. Would hate for anyone to have spent £70 for that privilege.

Food was excellent. Our waitress was also attentive, polite and immaculate and made our evening even more special

I’m really surprised The Ambrette has such high reviews. We went there for Sunday Lunch and, the food was nice and the service good but the roast took ages to come out. What is there to do when the meat is all cooked? The portions were so small. For the prices I expected a full roast dinner and we needed a snack afterwards due to the portions. There are much better portions and good food and service elsewhere in Margate for a Sunday roast.

Had a lovely meal out with hubby. As soon as you walk in you receive a very warm welcome. The staff were welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Once we've received our food the staff were very knowledgeable about each course. It was fantastically presented and the taste ,well you need to go and try yourself so yummy. 😁Inbetween courses we were asked if all was ok and everything was spot on. The staff are on top with how many times to come over and ask if all is ok,always a friendly smile. It was a very lovely evening and looking forward to going again soon. Thank you so much. Delicious three course lunch. Bought for me as a birthday gift, with prosecco. Food was delicious and service was fast and friendly. Only downside was that the prosecco was quite flat. All in all I will definitely return!

I almost don't want to tell people how brilliant The Ambrette is so that it stays my own secret. It is amazing, properly amazing. The staff are beyond excellent they are helpful and have a wide knowledge of not only the menu but also other places to eat locally and are keen to offer ideas for you to continue your day/weekend/ holiday. And the food... Oh my word the food.Forget any ideas you have about knowing anything about food and just try anything that is suggested, holy flipping wow.I genuinely can not express how brilliant the dishes are, the only thing you can do is just go and try it yourself. Do book ahead though, seriously book because you don't wanna be upset that you can get in.
