Spent a lovely afternoon celebrating special anniversary. We were given top floor. food was fantastic and they were so well-organised. This for me was a must for any social gathering where you are hosting a lot of people.

This is not the first time I have visited The Charles Dickens and on both occasions the food has been lovely. However, today it took almost 3 hours to be served a 2 course meal. We had to ask more than once for a dessert menu and the bill took over 20 minutes and 3 requests to arrive. The restaurant was not overly busy and staff often looked in to the area where we were seated - with no food or with empty plates in front of us - and didn't come over. The service was poor and the two star rating is due to this and not the food which was plentiful and tasty.

Ate here on a busy Saturday evening. Sat in restaurant upstairs with views across the bay. Service was slow although staff were friendly and polite. We both had the steak and found it to be rather on the tough side. Have definitely had better!

Had a breakfast there and a pint of Doombar. Friendly and tasty. It's got a sea view over Broadstairs beach. Very pleasant on a good day.

Nice friendly pub with food to add too. We did not eat this time. Just a few drinks while we met our grandson. Large selection of drinks available and cosy decor. Nice and warm inside on what was a cold day outside. Nice views as well as very close to the seaside.

I had the prawns and they were pretty awesome. Not to sure on the chips they were very chunky almost like roast potatoes but in a chip form. It was all fresh so it was good.

Lovely food. Friendly staff. Wonderful views over Viking Bay especially if you use the restaurant upstairs.

Best Sunday roast dinner in thanet

Had the veggie full English breakfast- which was fab, plenty of food and cooked perfectly. Lovely friendly staff and good protocols re covid, sanitizers all around bar and prompt cleaning of tables after customers. Dog friendly now too

First time visit and I'm kicking myself... Been missing out on a quality spot in Broadstairs. Price about normal not cheap but not OTT. Location amazing. Tasty starters (calamari was probs on the ever so slightly bland side) but the tiger prawns in Nduja butter were magnificent. Very well priced and generous seafood platter and a top notch Sunday roast. Washed down with a Beavertown Neck Oil.
