The Hive Cafe in Thanet

Quite possibly the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Not sure how the bacon is this good, putting it down to the chef!!

I've visited the Hive many times and have never been disappointed. From the afternoon tea, to lunch and even the daily snacks on the counter they are all amazing! Well worth a visit.

I go to this place with my friend for breakfast every Wednesday and have always recieved an amazing service, food is amazing good value for money, and the cakes are so scrummy, they always go that extra mile and nothing is never to much trouble, would definitely recommend

We love this little cafe and visit regularly! Always lovely hot coffee and the BEST home made cupcakes with different choices each time we visit (my favourite are the jammy dodger and biscoff biscuit!). The lunch menu is always fresh, great quality food and the afternoon tea is the best in Thanet by far! The staff are always friendly and happy to help in any way they can! They are also dog-friendly and can reserve a table in advance.

We are regular visitors of the hive, the food is delicious and the cupcakes are out of this world! The staff are friendly and always welcoming, It’s our favourite place to go. They are also extremely accommodating for our 1 year old.

an amazing veggie breakfast and waffle for my partner. the owner/server was lovely and checked up on the food. drinks were lovely and cupcakes also. overall great atmosphere

Have ordered cupcakes a few times now and they always go down a treat in our house. Also the chicken, bacon & avocado sandwich is amazing!! Will be back for sure 👍

Visited The Hive several times and always had an excellent experience and most recently I had their incredible Christmas afternoon tea. A great selection of well made and delicious items and I love that they don't just have the usual boring afternoon tea food (no cucumber sandwiches thank god!) but offer things like soup and brie and cranberry sliders, mini Eton mess and Ferrero Rocher brownies. Service was polite and attentive. Can't wait to visit again.

Had the veggie Christmas afternoon tea and it was the best. I have been to most of the tea rooms locally and The Hive is the best by far!! It was delicious 😍 The cakes are to die for. The owners didn't rush us out the door so my family and I had a much needed relaxed catch up for the afternoon.

What an absolute gem!! After seeing an ad on Instagram we decided to go along for the afternoon tea and it was really lovely! It had a really lovely atmosphere, extremely friendly staff and had really good wheelchair access. Thank you so much for a lovely lunch 😊
