Gorgeous meal here, had chicken and mushroom tarragon pie it was delicious, we will definitely return here in April

Fantastic Christmas Day meal was enjoyed here in 2021.The food was delicious, and was served hot and in good time.The landlord and lady were very helpful and friendly, as were their staff too.The whole experience was an absolute pleasure, from booking and organising through to enjoying the dining experience and pub ambiance on the big day.

An excellent village pub. The staff are always polite, cheerful and always make you feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Arrived without a booking but they cost us a table in bar as the restaurant was full.Had a lovely Beef Sunday roast x 4, couldn't be faulted, followed by some excellent puddings.Not the best looking from the outside but with such friendly staff and great food who cares.Can't wait to be in the area again to be able to sample some more of the menu.

Friendly Pub with restaurant. Excellent food, good service, staff very attentive and helpful. We had a lovely meal recently an open fire greeted us on a cold evening we enjoyed a drink in the bar before going into the restaurant for dinner. Food was excellent not over priced and the staff couldn’t of been more helpful. We have already booked to go back!

Had Sunday lunch with my husband at £12 ph.On that occasion there was a choice of two roasts: beef or shoulder of pork, accompanied with the expected vegetables.You are given two options with the roast beef..... Pink or well done. We opted for the pink and had no regrets. It was beautifully tender and tasted delicious!The Yorkshire pud was large and crispy, as were the 5 huge roast potatoes!The cauliflower cheese (which was lovely) and gravy arrived separately on a tray, which was a nice touch. My only niggle was the gravy was extremely 'thin', but that's a personal preference.Usually my husband finishes what I'm unable to eat. However, the portions were so big he only just managed to finish his own!Going again today and taking our daughter and her fiance.... Can't wait!

Service was very polite, friendly and helpful. Food was of a reasonable standard. The desserts (icecream) was a rip off. No disabled access. Had to sit in the marquis. Luckily the weather was good. Won't be returning I'm afraid.

Revisited the SE Coast this last week and just had to revisit The New Inn - and so pleased we did.We only got chance to eat there once last year because of ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ but managed to go there twice this time.The food and service was first class, with everything ordered just cooked to perfection.Whoever owns/runs/manages this place - your staff are some of the most welcoming, hard working, pleasant we’ve met. Nothing was too much bother - even my HP sauce on Jamie’s Scotch Egg 😂. You’ve struck gold with them all.

Really delicious food, friendly staff and a fab little garden and play area. We wanted to visit again the next day but they were full!

Fantastic lunch, excellent service. Tasty food at a very reasonable price. Loved it. Will be returning. 👍👍👍
