The Sun Inn in Thanet

This lovely hotel, on the sea front, it was built in 1888 is beautifully kept, character rooms with modern bathrooms. We had disturbed sleep on our first night, the noise from the main air con system outside out window kept us awake, when I mentioned it to Becky on reception on our way to breakfast, she was very apologetic, saying she will get it checked out & said she will try to relocate us which she did by the end of breakfast, we moved to a fab room with a 4 poster bed, we slept great there after. Couldn't fault the care & attention from all the staff, we had a very pleasant stay, would definitely return.

Rooms could be a bit more modern / refreshed however the seaview from the patio in the suite was great. Generous breakfast and nice staff, recommend if you're staying in Ramsgate for a night.

A had Christmas package break here. A new experience. A lot of food eaten as it was a 3 course meal. Was a little downside on the food quality , breakfast. Staff were very attentive. Sea view room too, but only view was the sea. The room was very nice. Had a welcome basket with nice treats and a Christmas card. Thank you Santa for our Christmas gift. The weather was not nice. After a long year this break was needed.

Been Boxing Day for the last few years, COVID permitting. Went to book this year but menu was very poor for what's expected at this time of year. Apart from that, nice selection of beers, food was always at a good standard. Pleasant and clean. Staff could look a bit happier though.

Bad linen and bedding stuff, poor staff cooperation even after paying for premium service. Substandard menu of breakfast with low quality food stuff even boiled eggs were cold etc. Though wished to sit sea view side of dinning Hall but staff refused to allow despite it was all empty. Limited toiletries and cleaning items. Gym and sauna was upto mark. Overall stay remained nasty verses money spent. Not recommend to stay there.. Forcing guests to sit in.ited area of dinning Hall.
