Top place to stay very friendly Sunday carvery superb pizzas great as well !

Room fine, service awful. Good view of building site from window, advertised as serving food, only pizza's available. Had to eat out every evening.

Loved this place although only food they sold was home made pizza...but it was well worth the £8 each. Shame it's in a village with nothing else there

Beautiful place, absolutely friendly bar staff. We arrived to Earl for food , but had coffees and lager shandys. Think will book for a Sunday lunch and try their food.

The staff was friendly and smiling! The bed in the room was so comfortable, but I think more attention should be paid to cleaning! Pub is good, but the pizzas were not good! I was not fascinated by breakfast!

Always a pleasure going to the stag, warm friendly welcome from Margaret and john the owners, u cant beat a pub that puts the roast potatoes on the bar on a sunday afternoon you dont get that much these days, the roast dinners aswell is a must a choice of 5 meats and a good selection of veg and their big portions aswell so dont eat breakfast ha ha we are going back for christmas eve as they will be having the Carol singing outside in the evening in which everyone can join in .

Friendly staff who make you feel at home. Great selection of meats (juicy) and veg. The roast potatoes crunchy and fluffy. There's also an option for vegetarians. Best carvery in a long time!

Nice friendly , welcoming staff , excellent food with exceptional service all at a good price .Would need to go a long way for a better carvery .
