Wyatt & Jones in Thanet

My first experience of the relaunched Wyatt and Jones main restaurant on Friday was amazing. Jan and his team have remade the old restaurant into a smaller but far more intimate space embracing the concept lots of smaller sharing plates rather than the usual 3 course meal template. And what fantastic food it is too. I won’t go into dishes in detail but it’s enough to say my wife and I devoured a whole host of unique and delicious plates, all using the best ingredients. The drinks too were excellent and simple and we sat at the extremely comfortable bar to eat and were made very welcome by Jan, his family and staff. The refurbished restaurant has somehow a ‘speakeasy’ feel with darker more sumptuous decor but with those amazing picture windows juxtaposed to give you dramatic views of the bay and sea. And, to top it all off, it’s nowhere near as expensive as it could be. All in all, a most excellent experience which we can not recommend highly enough. It was so good that we went back for Sunday lunch enjoying their take on a traditional roast which was equally delicious. Well done to Jan, Emily, Henry and team. Visiting Wyatt and Jones feels like having dinner at a friends house and we can’t wait to go back again soon.

Superb!! One of the best meals I've had in a long time and definitely the best restaurant we've tried in Broadstairs. We went for Sunday lunch and normally you expect the standard steamed veg on the side, but every vegetable side had a deeply developed flavour profile. The carrot cake with whipped blue cheese topping was the perfect end to a perfect meal 👌

Lovely waiting staff, and I get what they are trying to do with a more tapas-style sevice "the food will arrive when it's ready" but nearly two hours to serve us 4 little plates? Even without the wait, the food was so-so, with, lacking in flavour. The steak was ok but the sauce did not thing for it - slightly spicy oil - the monkfish was undercooked and the squash was bland. Felt like a place with no love for the food, which when you are charging £21 for a steak isn't ok. And not one Gluten Free dessert available!

Beautiful setting, fantastic small plates, great local wine and attentive but not intrusive service. Seabass in pil pil was absolutely gorgeous.

We sat at the bar and were served by the owner. Thoroughly nice bloke who we chatted with throughout the evening. The food and wine offering is very different from any other restaurant, which is why they were packed out.It's definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a unique dining experience in Broadstairs. 👌👏

Absolutely loved this place. Great food, small plates of very tasty and well prepared dishes. Wine list has a selection of both English and international wines, we went for an English pinot noir which was excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and observant. Price is very good considering the all round quality. Absolute must to visit if you're in Broadstairs.

Amazing fresh seafood cooked in imaginative ways to perfection. Lovely friendly service

Awesome place to grab a bite. We were here for two days and ate here three times! Food options are really interesting, I can recommend the Ray ribs, Cod Cheeks (good for kids) and the Tempura Squid as that's what we had, the chips are banging too. I had the squid ink hotsauce on mine and it was great. The staff are also really lovely and helpful and the food is fairly priced for how good it is - 10/10 cannot recommend enough.

Lovely little seafood restaurant just off of Broadstairs beach. The food is of excellent quality and the service is impeccable the place only loses 1 star as some of the dishes are on the pricey side. Definitely worth a visit though if you like fresh seafood.

Another delightful experience at one of Broadstairs best restaurants! They are great with our two goldies bring water and a plate of dog treats as you arrive. Lovely selection of gins. Support local produce. Today was a Sunday roast sort of day... And why not deliver an amazing rare 48 day aged rib eye slice with delicious Yorkshire pudding, roast spuds and accompanying veggies. To start we had seaweed butter with a crazy yummy freshly baked sourdough loaf! Go there!!! You will not be disappointed.
