The venue is lovely, nice blend of the historic building with suitable tasteful decor, with plenty of parking walking distance from the marina, and inside, plenty of seating available. The serving staff were excellent, with a good balance of professionalism combined with great service. The down side unfortunately was the well presented but bland food. The steak pie had an mass of pastry crowning the mediocre filling. I really hope we caught this place on an off cold midweek quiet evening as the restaurant could be so much more. I'll definitely patronise the place again as it's a nice relaxing place, fingers crossed for better dining experience and a properly functioning gents toilet !!

Visited today for Sunday lunch and despite its exterior the interior was lovely. We were asked to wait at the bar for our reservation, and 20 minutes later we were finally seated. The two vegetarian options for the starters were unavailable and I didn’t fancy mushroomsoup. Once we placed our order it took 90 minutes for the food to arrive but when it arrived it was delicious! The rest of the table were very disappointed by the lack of gravy and at the cost of £2 for ‘extra’ gravy this seemed quite steep. When the bill arrived we noticed the price of our drinks (the establishment doesn’t provide drinks menus) - for a draught Pepsi max they are asking for the ridiculous price of £4.60. To summarise the food was delicious but the price and some of the service let the experience down.

Absolute shambles from start to finish. Went there mothers day (7 adults, 4 kids and 3 babies)After 45 mins we had to ask if we could have the menu and order.Had to ask for cutleryOrdered drinks -that never arrivedAsked for condiments - that never arrivedIt took long we didn't wait for dessert (boxed them up and took home). The final nail in coffin was being charged for drinks we didn't order and being over charged. It seemed as they were under staffed and just couldn't cope with such a busy day. Such a shame as it ruined our day.The manager was very apologetic and didn't have any excuses.

Me and my fiancée went to Baron's court today...From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman, he offered us seating that was perfect for a couple in a cozy corner. The service was very quick and efficient, we had our drinks and starters within a good length of time (even though the place was busy). The starters were stunning, I had the chicken paté while my other half had the soup of the day 'pea soup'. You could tell from the off that everything was fresh and prepared that day, then came the roast beef with vegetables and cauliflower cheese. The beef was succulent, the vegetables flavoursome and the gravy rich with depth. After this sumptuous feast the bill came and we were in shock! For under £60 with drinks, starters, mains, and a shared dessert of an incredibly high standard for two, we were simply blown away. Both me and my misses were enamoured by the quality of the food and will definitely be coming back.

Fabulous food. Very tasty. Very reasonably priced. More like Al cart. First place to eat every time. Lovely polite staff and host. 10 out of 10. Best wishes to a great team.

Lovely Sunday Lunch.Beef lovely.Yorkshire pudding great.Plenty of vegetables.Only one small issue is they charge extra for gravy, and I love plenty of gravy with my Sunday lunch.
