How much????During a coastal walk, I had planned on stopping here for a pint or two and a spot of lunch... But after getting charged £5 for a pint of Strongbow and £1.20 for a packet of Scampi Fries my mind quickly changed.Lovely looking pub, and they'd clearly recently made a real effort for the Queen's Jubilee... But come on guys, you're pricing yourselves out of the market...

The food was of a good standard at a reasonable price. Staff warm and friendly. Casual atmosphere and relaxed. Good choice of food and drink. Open seven days per week.Very old building with thatched roof. Beer garden and tables to eat out.

My husband, my daughter, her fiance and I, just enjoyed probably the most perfect meal I have had in many years. The Blue Anchor is just wonderful. The staff are so kind and friendly, the atmosphere is warm and wonderful and the food....well, out of this world. Tender meats, fresh vegetables, scrumptious desserts. What more could you ask for?

Had a meal there with friends and family to celebrate my brothers 70th birthday and had a wonderful time. Staff very attentive and pleasant from start to finish. We all choose our food except dessert before and it all arrived together and it was hot and delicious. Its been a long time since we've visited the blue anchor and I know it won't be long before we're back.

Known this pub since I was a teenager. Has a character of its own, loved by locals and those visiting. Please be respectful that it is very much loved locally. A thatched pub, take your dog, meet the bikers, see people feel safe enough to go alone, couples, groups.... restaurant above the pub, guest beers and has had its own beer festivals in the past. Ample parking opposite pub. One of those places to stop off at for a quick drink. Benches/tables outside. No garden as such. Small, but popular place in the Vale.

Hadn't visited this place in over 15 years, wish I hadn't left it so long. We booked for valentines day evening in the restaurant, the food was amazing, atmosphere was cozy and setting was perfect. One must you need to have the garlic cheese bread its to die for!!!!

Probably the best pub I have EVER been to. The food was 10/10, the beer was cold and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The passageway to the bar was SO COOL!!

Established in 1380, this pub can't be beaten for its character. This, coupled with excellent home cooked meals, is a winning combination and you won't be disappointed.

Had an anniversary lunch here and had a wonderful time. Food delicious, service outstanding in an a beautiful pub.

Saw the Blue Anchor on a local BBC TV Show, so thought we would pop down.We popped in on Saturday and enjoyed a light lunch and some excellently kept beer.We would thoroughly recommend the pub as both a great historical location and a great pub. We will certainly return.
