Nice place but very slow service. Came today for Father’s Day and very slow service even tho it wasn’t even very busy. An hour after we arrived and we still hadn’t received our mains. Just seemed like very poor management. Very dry food and glad the manager offered discount to make up for it.

As soon as we walked in there was a lovely welcome and showed us to a lovely table. Drinks order taken straight away and delivered promptly. Staff gave us plenty of time to order our food and waited patiently for us. All our food was delicious hot and served by a lovely waitress. We have been coming here for a while and the service is always top class

I was at the restaurant for a 50 person group dinner. The beer selection was good, the food was good, service was good - everything was very good. Small town family pub atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We had a meal here on the evening of Monday 25th April whilst staying at nearby Travel lodge. Great veg patty with fab chips and salad. Friendly staff, very enjoyable.

Nice seated, had to wait a while before we were given a menu.. ordered the roast platter for 2 with cauliflower and leek gratin, when arrived the vegetables were practically raw, there was leek in the gratin, and no lamb on the platter. It was dreadful. We paid and left and won’t go back.

First time in there for many years, it has improved a lot and serves meals., I was unaware of. It was lively abd a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were very professional and helpful.

Went here today for the first time. Sunday roast was fantastic. Spoke to a gentleman named Liam. Extremely knowledgeable about the beer and food. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back.

Food was better than expected for a brains pub meal.. lady serving us was super friendly and happy which was nice.. only reason for 4 stars is the wait time, however, it was a Friday evening so staff numbers in the kitchen may have been limited

A very well run pub. Delicious food, even better prices and service with a smile.
