Two night stay in this pub. Very happy with the accommodation. Lovely location in a rural area but close to Cardiff Airport and Bridgend. Restaurant closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Cute and clean room with the comfiest bed. It’s gone 3am and I’m still wide awake. Why you ask? Because there is a big green light illuminating my room. It’s so fricking bright in here not even covering my eyes with a pillow is working.

Looking for a place to stay for a few days on our Honeymoon that would take dogs (we have 2 English Pointers) and this place jumped out at me.Staff were really friendly and they loved the dogs. We had a superior double room which was excellent. The food is just fantastic (as was the beer), vegetarian choices for the wife and some great options for me. If you go though you have to try the steak. Simply gorgeous. The village of Llancarfan is really quiet and pretty and I spent a good few hours strolling around with the dogs.I can't recommend the Fox and Hounds Pub high enough. Pay a visit, you won't regret it.

I’ve not been here since I was a student and it was the onlyplace to get a decent pint of Marston’s! It is now a hotel andrestaurant and we went for Sunday lunch. First, we weredelighted that they had taken on board our request fora gluten-free menu; and even more so that the menu includedpractically everything on the main menu, including fantasticYorkshire puddings! Food all round was beautifully cooked andservice was lovely. It’s a dog-friendly venue which usually putsme off but it was not a problem here.

The best fish finger sandwich I have EVER had. What a beautiful pub. Staff absolutely lovely. The church next door is worth a visit too. Such a lovely village.

Enjoyed the experience, and the ambience. The food was excellent tho' a little over priced in my opinion.

I was looking forward to dine here due to The Fox and Hounds reputation and I wanted to know what was all the fuss about but I wasn't impressed. Food was nice but just nice, nothing new or special. We had to serve our own wine which was disappointing, service was just OK. So overall kind of bland non guormet experience.

Loved our stay. The hotel is full of character with modern dinning and lovely rooms. Staff lovely, beer garden lovely, had a lovely meal, fortunate enough to sit outside as it was a lovely evening.would definitely recommend.

A nice week evening meal. Waitress was friendly and pleasant, and was doing her best to explain social distancing rules despite some silly people not reading the signs! Food was classics pub types done to good standard. Staff were very helpful by quickly serving a different side at the last minute for my husband when we realised he couldn’t eat the chips due to his fish allergy. I really loved the white chocolate, coconut parfait with mango (even though I couldn’t taste the chocolate)!

Great breakfast, great dinner, very affordable, we actually thought there had been a mistake with the bill as we didn't expect the drinks to be so reasonably priced. We will certainly return with friends. Very happy to have found this hidden gem.
