Despite moving away from Barry, I still make the pilgrimage to Harveys, it is simply the best chippy for miles around.The food is cooked fresh in front of you daily.The fish batter is lovely and light, not the thick stodge you get in some places.The service is friendly and efficient, and prices are reasonable too.This is your other Barry Gem.

Fish is super fresh, you see them batter your fish on order. The chips are proper chips with plenty of taste. The selection of curry sauce is brilliant. Great friendly service and at a good price. Differently worth a visit.

We went to Barry Island for a day out and by the time we came out of the arcades all the fish & chip shops were shut so we googled others that were nearby and found this one. The guy that served us was very friendly and welcoming, the portion sizes were good, the food was cooked fresh to order and delicious. If we ever happen to be visiting Barry again we will definitely be coming here for our food.

My only place for fish and chips ! Have been going to Harvey's for over 50 years now , always good food , staff polite and premises are 5 star rated for cleanliness. LOVE that it's still a traditional small business , no fast processes food thats cooked fresh often while you wait . Current owner is lovely , friendly and polite and knows all his regular customers. Good stuff !
