Mayflower in The Vale of Glamorgan

Have always used Mayflower and they've always been amazing, but have to say, we had a takeaway from them last night which was the best chinese we've ever had! Was Superb!Highly recommend the chicken in sea spicy garlic sauce, and kung po chicken. Wow!

The duck was so tender, curry sauce gorgeous and the poppadoms so light and not a bit of fat on them. first time diner and yes we will be back :)6 months after above review: Has mayflower been taken over or new staff? Only cos food wasn’t very nice this time…. My curry was soooo runny, massive chunks of mushrooms, looked like the person who made it could only be bothered to cut them in half. May as well not cut the atall if I am honest. The chicken was like plastic/ rubber chicken…. Was awful. Poppadoms where lovely and nice chips for a Chinese but I only have a couple of chips as they make me I’ll. disappointed as last time the mayflower kindly made me duck in peking sauce and when I asked about another meat in peking sauce that wasn’t coated like the ones that was on the menu it seemed so much of a bother to them so needed up having the house special curry that wasn’t nice and I left 3/4 of it. Won’t be having Chinese for a long while now as even the day after my stomach is suffering.Sorry previous I gave 5 stars and now it’s a 2 star.

We have been using the Mayflower for many years now.Whether pick up or delivery the food is alway very hot even in the cold months of winterWe have never had a meal where we have not enjoyed it. The flavours and quality have always been spot on.I am sure I will still be getting our wonderful food from her for many years.

Only place to order a Chinese we have one every few weeks the best place to get it! Friendly staff and great service You pay for what you get! I always recommend mayflower and my friends eat there too! Best Chinese

I order with mayflower most weeks. The food is very tasty . It’s always still hot on delivery which is always a bonus. Great price . Also a Friendly service over the phone.

Absolutely disgusted, Would give 0 stars if I could. I have been ordering from this takeaway for years and have had minimal problems. Today is the last time I will ever be ordering from here, they got our order wrong so we rang them and attempted to politely explain the problem (they gave the wrong sauces with our food) and we were told that we ordered wrong, not sure how that's possible when you have sweet and sour chicken hong kong style and curry sauce. Anyway after explaining ourselves and being repeatedly told that we misplaced our order we agreed to go up ourselves and get it replaced, the phone call ended and we were about to leave. We then got a phonecall from the Chinese owner and my partner got literally screamed at over the phone and was told that 'it was what we asked for and they would not re-do our order and we would get a sweet and sour sauce next time' (completely useless to me next time) following this proceeded to shout in Chinese and hung up.As a side note to this their Chop Suey tastes like canned chicken and they severely underpay their drivers (and likely staff) £5ph (illegal and I have evidence to prove this) and they are some of the nicest delivery drivers around, my advice to them would be to work somewhere else as they get treated just as bad.Customer service is non-existent.My advice, find somewhere else to eat.
