Visited this pub for Sunday lunch whilst on a Rugby tour. Staff were very accommodating about the late booking at the end of service. Had really nice three course lunch. Beef and the Eton mess was really nice. Pleasant glass of Chardonnay. Dog friendly in the bar with log fire. Staff efficient.

A hidden gem! Great little country pub with very nice staff. Food was awesome and found a new still cider which was lovely. No dark ale but it's summer so who cares. Prices were good, portions large and service was quick.

Just come back from a wonderful stay at the dog friendly cottages courtesy of The Plough and Harrow. The cottage was very clean and welcoming and ideal for our dogs. The food in the pub opposite was absolutely brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only that but the chef made a special desert for our daughter who is vegan. All of the staff were fantastic, very friendly and bent over backwards to help us enjoy our stay. Not only that but the locals were very friendly. We will return. If you get a chance why not give it a try.

Really friendly atmosphere, great setting with a nice beer garden. Good food, a good choice of ales.It was the perfect rest point after a long walk, sipping a cold one in the beer garden as the sun set.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch for 8 of us. Arrived a bit early to find it still in use so had a quick drink froma good and varied selection. Warmed by the fire and took me to days gone by. Seated exactly on time and while not the most extensive menu, pretty much everyone had a wonderful Sunday Roast all round. Wonderful atmosphere and really welcoming. Like sitting in your best friends house. A gem of a place. Only downside is its too far for me to walk otherwise I'd be there all the time. See you all again soon. And if its good enough for Benedict Cumberbatch (Google it) it's good enough for me 😀

Absolutely gorgeous countryside pub! Lovely staff and had a wonderful Sunday roast here! Keep it up, our family will most certainly be back!

The lady in this pub does not like to receive any complaints at all... if you do complain she tells you to get out. 4 of us left the beef as it was very tough when told about it got aggressive. We spent £111.75 there. What a waste of money... never go there again....only 1 star as the vegetables were lovely...

Just love the rural, country pub here. Love the fire and the beams with shirehorse plates, reminds me of where I grew up. Gorgeous walks and enjoyable food. Thank you 🙂🕊💖🕊🙂

Had food here yesterday with my family and two kids (5 year old and 7 month old) very accommodating and the food was delicious. Pie came out a little cold but we’re quick to rectify and great beers on tap. Would highly recommend. Lovely open fire too - will definitely be back.

Lovely little pub. Parking is limited but the pints and food makes up for it. Dog friendly too.
