Nice friendly place with good service looking forward to Sunday lunch here, well Sunday lunch was really good and large portions

Went for lunch there today after reading the reviews.Nearly empty on arrival although being told that they didn't have any vacancies at the time I wanted, the service was good and it was nice and warm.The food was something else , it was awful frozen potatoes, frozen peas,Yorkshire pudding ,stuffing all for £14 for 1 course. Caught sight of the chef he looked a mess ,dirty and unkempt, who writes the positive reviews staff maybe .There is much much better out there and cheaper. I for one will not pass their threshold again. Oh and bye the way for £4.20 you can have a glass of red wine vinegar

Slow. Everything took ages to come. Got told they didn't do kids meals to then see a sign advertising them after we had ordered a adult meal for the kids. Ordered tomato soup. Was way to spicy. Would have been nice to be told it was spicy before ordering. Way to many staff that didn't know what they were doing. Waiting for ages at an empty bar for a drink with staff walking back and forth being ignored. Had 3 large meals and 1 small and only had a 1 small tray of veg to share between us all. Gravy had a strange taste to it like it was spicy. 2 roasties that tasted undercooked and frozen. Was a lot of meat that was nice though. Ordered a lemonade and got it poured into my glass from a 79p bottle of shop bought. Everyone seemed fed up and not very happy. It was very quiet in their for a pub on a Sunday. I can see why.

Great chicken madras and proper chips like Nan and mum used to make in a chip basket. Keith's food is always excellent and you always get a warm and friendly welcome from Jackie and the staff. But next time Keith please don't disguise the beef as chicken in the madras.

Visited today for the first time, in total 8 adults. Food was beautifully presented, good choice and nice and hot. Great staff and they were all extremely attentative. Great value and we will definitely be returning.

Just come back from the most exceptional Christmas meal. Fabulous, plentiful food, attentive and caring staff and very good value. Highly recommended.
