Sycamore Tree Inn in The Vale of Glamorgan

Went there for Sunday lunch for a family meal.Food was superb piping hot, good sized portions. Waiter service was first class,did not have to ask for anything. The price of £12:95 to £13.95 for an adult and £6:95 for a child was more expensive than a standard Toby carvery but the extra price was well worth paying and there was no comparison. Once we had finished our meal a gentleman came over to ask if we had enjoyed the meal. Not sure if he was the owner but it was a nice gesture and it made you feel welcomed. Will definitely return and can highly recommend.

Lovely local pub. Nice selection of ales and the landlord seemed friendly. Offered to top my pint up which was brilliantly poured anyway. I was staying at the Airbnb over the road and popped over to the pub a few times. Wish I lived locally and not 200 miles away. Hope people read this and pay this place a visit. Enjoy !!

Lovely Sunday lunch very tasty I had the beef which was very nice. A few more veg required would be my only criticism. And the pear crumble was delicious.

Managed to get in just before they stopped serving and hadn't been before so had no expectations.Despite the fact pubs were busy as Sunday before Valentine's day, they were very welcoming and the food was exceptional. We had tried to get into two other local pubs to no avail even though it was just the two of us, and wished we had tried the Sycamore first. Will definitely be returning.Such a lovely atmosphere, the pub and restaurant really would suit any occasion as delightful old pub in lovely Colwinston but with relaxed atmosphere. Easy parking with good selection of food and vegan and vegetarian options.

Mark & Emma have an amazing Gluten Free menu. I have celiac disease, they fully understand GF and cross contamination. With all of their food being cooked from scratch in the pub they are able to advise & adapt any meal I have asked for. We discovered you in the pandemic, & now you can’t get rid of us!! Beautiful little village pub with some absolutely amazing food. The pie was delicious! All the staff were wonderful and friendly, we can't wait to go back.

Another wonderful experience. Food, service, atmosphere amazing. Cannot fault anything. Sorry you can't see the steaks but I assure you they were perfect.
