The Beech Tree Inn in The Vale of Glamorgan

We ordered mussels in white wine sauce and the sauce was tasteless we told the waitress and she said the chef doesn't put salt in the sauce and it is down to individual taste. I would not expect salt in a seafood dish and as for individual taste we both thought it was tasteless,the waitress had no intrest in our complaint not even an apology.

Never visited before, although those I was with, have done. Thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday Lunch, the mushroom starter was the best I've ever had.It seemed very quiet which made me feel a little uncomfortable as I felt we were holding the staff up from going home.

Fabulous lunch today at the beechtree inn wenvoe cardiff , A young lady and young man looked after us superbly and the food was excellent , lovely surroundings and very relaxing , see you again soon 10/10 .

Fillet steak was excellent restaurant was very quiet for a Saturday evening, and the restaurant could have been warmer

Great food, would of like to see old way of ordering food from fridge, but it has been a long time since i was last there. But very much enjoyed it.

Very good food, a little bit pricy but nice surroundings

My son and I were on a weekend break in Cardiff. We booked a table for dinner at this place, based on reviews I had read. It was everything and more! The location was perfect, the food flawless and the service immaculate. The steaks were the best we have had since we could remember. The sticky toffee pudding is highly recommended as are the grilled mushrooms, seared scallops and the brocoli in garlic butter. Very attentive and friendly service topped off a memorable meal!

Great little find, particularly as I'm a fish lover. Prawn starter was delicious, swordfish for main which I really enjoyed. George the manager was an absolute delight. Staff friendly and helpful. Thanks for fitting us in with 5 minutes to spare x

Had a meal delivered this evening, we were told it would be about 40 minutes. It was delivered 20 minutes later steaming hot and tasty. We had seafood linguine have to say best I have eaten it was delicious, massive portion enough for two. King prawns were delicious. The prime beef burger was lush the husband is still drooling, the chips and onion rings stunning. Will definitely order again but looking forward to being able to visit and eat in.

Went there with some friends for dinner. Service was good. Staff very helpful, accommodating and friendly.My friend ordered the Thai red curry, but it was extremely spicy. The waitress offered to change the dish and replaced it with another choice chosen by my friend. Both the Thai red curry and new dish were not charged on the bill.Portions were good. Starters, mains and desserts were very tasty. Prices were reasonable for the type of food served.Restaurant is quite deceiving as it looks bigger than it is (due to the mirror). Parking available outside restaurant.
