The Corntown Country Inn in The Vale of Glamorgan

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying here last night. The warm welcome we received was second to none. The room was perfect. It was the comfiest sleep we have had in a while. Last night's meal was absolutely perfect. Not often do we get a steak cooked to such perfection. Today we had the Sunday roast and again, the meal was a solid 10/10. Not a single complaint. The staff from owner to manager to bar staff were all so lovely and courteous. Highly recommend staying here or at the very least, trying out their amazing food. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely excellent meal last night, superb scallops and an even better steak (which I forgot to take a photo of). Good selection of wine, including this amazing, young Primitivo.

I wanted to thank all of the staff at The Golden Mile for making my husband’s birthday party such a great success, we thought it might be difficult with Covid restrictions in place but nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious and great value for money! The bar staff kept the drinks flowing and a great time was had by all. Thank you all so much! We will definitely be back.

Went for lunch. Very welcoming atmosphere. Log burning fire nice and cosy. A good choice of menu without being overwhelming. Staff very pleasant and prompt service. Food well cooked and presented. Value for money prices.

Lovely meal with parents, staff were fabulous, they were very busy but still found time to talk with my very elderly mum and dad, making them feel very special. They rarely go our to eat these days and this was a real treat.The portions were very generous and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be making a return visit...in fact many return visits!

Lovely restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. Food was very tasty, good choice on the menu and big portion sizes.Lovely decor inside with a nice atmosphere. Nice beer garden and outdoor, safe play area for the kids.Be careful turning in though as the car park is very steep, which we didn't realise.Looking forward to another delicious meal here soon!

Greeted with a warm friendly service and felt comfortable. Had probably the best food I've tasted in a very long time and service was friendly and professional. Both mum and daughter were awesome. XI only wish I could rate higher than 5 stars if I'm totally honest. The staff were above and beyond. Well done guys, you made our anniversary meal the best yet, and have set the benchmark high for others.

Simple tasty food served really well by friendly staff. There were 6 of us on the group; we all had something different and everyone agreed their particular dish was excellent.The restaurant was also dealing with at least two large groups and many smaller tables but service and food was always delivered relatively quickly.One thing I did notice was that it was mainly older clientele - somewhere to bring your parents perhaps!
