The Horse and Jockey in The Vale of Glamorgan

We have not been to horse & jockey for quite a few years now but now we have move back to Cardiff we will be going there more often Love the place so warm and welcoming and Friendly staff also. We had a lovely meal to what great service a lovely place. Also dog friendly love it.

Nice pub with good beer and not too pricey, Stunning views as well.

Really nice lunch, good price and friendly staff. The puddings were amazing.

Neat public house just off the Culverhouse Cross area.Handy for the airport if your looking outside the standard branded pubs.

We only popped in for an hour, taking my Cousin who was visiting Cardiff, we ended up staying for four hours. What a cosy, comfortable, pub and the Landlady was amazing - as was the barlady - both very welcoming and interesting to talk to. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. If I hadn't cooked dinner already we would have stayed and had food too. Definitely on my Cousin's calendar for a return visit.

What a fantastic little pub. Went with our children and German Shepherd on Saturday evening. Greeted with water for the dog straight away. Food was delicious, staff were amazing. Nice to go out and be treated how you should be. Such a relaxed atmosphere.Thanks so much to Heather and Molly, who couldn't do enough for myself and my family.Well be back.Cheers Gav.

I want to give 5 stars to Molly. What a lovely young girl. So polite and helpful, nothing is too much.As for the pub it's self, wonderful. Food is delicious, staff are wonderful. Heather is so accommodating. Lively little pub.

If I could give less than one star I would. Called in for a quick drink with a large party to a very quiet pub in a quiet area. We’ve just moved to the area. We wanted to support local business but were immediately greeted by an incredibly rude officious Australian or New Zealand hostess. After five separate rude exchanges and being told off and shouted at plus much muttering by staff - we gave up. Zero customer service.We were trying to follow their complicated requirements but we had not been there before. Reallly not the warm friendly welcome we were expecting and we won’t return. They lost out on quite a bit of money as decent size party. Their loss.

A nice little country pub with a relaxing atmosphere. Pub offers a wide ranging menu that covers several tastes, and is very reasonably priced. Portion sizes were excellent. Their homemade hand cut chips were probably the best we've had. Establishment has plentiful seating and was fully covid compliant.Customer service was excellent!Definitely visiting again soon.
