The Old Swan Inn in The Vale of Glamorgan

Enquired about having a desert only and told that would be the same as a single course. So, £13.95! For a pudding, no thank you. The cooked Sunday lunch looked very good though.

Lovely place to go with friends and family All the staff were helpful and friendly especially the Manager Charlie who was very attentive. All our meals were excellent well done to the Chef my meal was so nice reminder me of my Mum's gorgeous homemade meals . Amazing fish and chips. Home made sauces. Great choice of drinks. Lovely staff and fab choice of music playing. Perfect Saturday lunch 👍

Quality was good and the service was alright. The restaurant was clean. However, the prices were not adequate to what was served. We ordered a soup as a starter and a desert. We chose to not eat a main as we weren’t hungry. However we got charged 17 Pounds per person (one small soup+ brownie + NO drinks) . When we suprised asked why the price was so high, we could see that the soup was written as a main on the bill despite it being a starter. It is apparently normal in this restaurant to charge 7Pounds more for a starter because the client chose to not eat the main dish.

Literally THE BEST Sunday dinner we have ever had out. The quality and taste was outstanding. Finally found somewhere we would eat again. Superb. Thank you !!

Cozy atmosphere, staff are helpful and friendly. If you are in the area this place is perfect for Saturday afternoon drinks and pub meal.

Terrible Christmas meal, most of the veg was raw, couldn't put our knife or fork into the sprouts or Parsnips, under cooked pigs in blankets sausage was raw. Arrived cold. So disappointing 7 of us arranged to meet up for a Christmas get together. No crackers on the table. £25 for a 3 course meal. All 6 plates went back without much taken off the plate. Offered 50% off the main meal that was priced at £14. We did pay that, but shouldn't of paid anything to be honest coz 90% went back. Not a very good attitude when dealing with the complaint. Didn't look like they were even ready or had prepared for the Christmas meal that was booked. We would not recommend to family or friends and will not be going back again. We all live local as well.

Nice lunch, jerk chicken starter with mango salsa was lovely. Pie of the day was decent but gravy a tad too watery for my liking. Eton mess was nice and had an interesting presentation. Recommended.

Stopped off for a quick lunch and was delighted to see that the Swan Inn was open. A lovely little pub with a nice choice of menu. Our lunch was outstanding and the customer service was spot on. Family highly recommends the goat cheese starters and the beef burger, and my cheese and chutney baguette was divine.It was rainy, so unfortunately, we couldn't take advantage of the sizeable beer garden.Covid 19 regulation was fully complied with and we felt extremely comfortable.Definitely a place we will visit again soon.
